For me it's been an issue for years but now it's too late to warranty replace. For now, I found the fix for me crashing during almost every overwatch 2 competitive match 😂 is to change my fps in console settings to 60. My TV supports native 120, but I guess the thermals of my specific series x are not great (probably needs new thermal paste or something similar).

@@Sinclair_USMCwhat setting do you go into to lock it at 60 fps i run games where a 60 fps limit is fine and it seems my console continues to over push itself on fps (pushing for 120 fps while having a ping that only shoots up when the console is in higher fps’s ) leading to my games crashing
@revivaltechsolutions not sure then. But, I've been using my nephew's brand new Series X for weeks to test and none of the games are crashing so has to be some hardware issue imo. Whatever Microsoft did to deliver faulty consoles, can be remedied by warranty replacement if that’s still an option, or by getting a new one.
I have the same issue with Nba and Formula 1. Sometimes i have been playing 1 or 2 hours and sometimes 10 minutes. While i playing. The game freezing and send me back to home screen. I made hard reset, i delete all my games. I did everything. I talked also with the Support. I think that my console has problem but here i found that i am not the only one with these problems....
I think this is definitely a servers issue, series X is more than capable of handling everything

@@benpalmer6003 I send my console to Microsoft service center. It take 15-25 days. I use it 1 month and now nba and f1 not crashing. I don't know which was the problem but in the repair paper wrote that my problem fixed.
I just got a brand new one and first day it’s freezing and turning off, so upset cause one X was doing fine running AC origins and brand new X freezes and shuts down playing that game
My series X runs exponentially better and smoother than my other consoles. I’ve found that Warzone, Cyberpunk and now Overwatch 2 crash when matchmaking and after reinstalling all and hard resetting Xbox at least 10 times each the problems with those games persist. Super upsetting when you’re hyped to play something like cyberpunk 2.0 but the console freezes everytime.
After trying all, I’ve come to the conclusion I must have a faulty console, if anyone has a better idea please help ya boy. I would understand if this problem was with old gen or even series S but not the X.

I have the same problem as you, took it apart cleaned it decently, thought I had fixed the problem, threw on Mirage it crashed threw on Valhalla it Crashed…
@@anthonywilliams0420 its a power supply issue. if the top of the console where the fan is isnt hot to the touch, insanely loud, and in a well ventilated space its the the power supply. its defective and when games spike in wattage every so often it trips the system and turns off instantly to prevent more damage. only option is to get it serviced by sending it to microsoft.

Dude I just bought my Xbox series x brand new and EVERY! Game freezes on loading screen and kicks me back to Home Screen. I get a white/specked colour screen when it crashes. I have done all the resets and deleted everything. How is this such a common problem?
Yo did you fand a solution? Bought a Series S refurbished in the ms store a week ago and coudnt get it run any games. I am gonna send it back. Fuck microsoft no wonder they sold so bad compared to sony .

But it mostly only happens with bigger x/s games like modern warfare 3, destiny 2, overwatch 2. Other games seem to run without problem, exception being one time I played a game called dragonball xenoverse 2, and the graphics suddenly started breaking, everything changing colors and going all static. Stayed all the way to my home screen.
So far haven't crashed with gta online however?????
My series s does seem like it might be overheating, and I've put a fan to it. Sometimes I can run a game like cod for a hour before it just either goes to home or gives me a weird screen of static death and makes me unplug it. i did buy it refurbished, and it was from gamestop. Honestly really upset because I was really excited to move to new gen, just to find my Xbox One, the original Xbox One, runs 10x's better than the series s. I'm honestly so mad
@@StonedElk420 how old is your purchase? Do my research cleaning the xbox could work wonders. In ny case however something was completely broken on the mother board. I got a new one and it only freezzws once when I tried to open Many apps ar once
@@UltraToasty only 2 days, well 3 now. I thought it was a fixable issue for me but unfortunately it's 100% over heating, there's no ventilation coming out of it and it gets burning hot and the smell of metal comes out of it. That and the graphics have started effecting the entire screen no matter what I play. Everything gets this kinda, idk how to describe it but broken pixel effect.

Update for my problem!!
The games keep crashing after all these steps. I send my console to xbox service. My console returned after 15-20 days. In the repair paper , Microsoft wrote that the problem fixed and now work properly. I don't know which was exactly the problem but now i don't have problem with games.

Thank you a lot. My Xbox wouldn’t stop overheating and that’s one of the reasons why my games crashed like the game metro I was playing crashed and I restarted it and my games started to work. Thank you again this helped.
I have question since I have good ventilation area. When playing long like halo wars 2 with a lot of effects it's crash. Since i play that with people from England. How Is it crashing then like is it too much or bad connection
so most games I have are working and running perfectly fine but forza horizon 5 and far cry 6 I am having issues with. I can get to the main menu then when I click play or continue game and it starts loading, it freezes then crashes. Any help?
I’ve tried hard resetting my console, uninstalling and installing them again and nothing. But like I said all other games I have played load up fine no issues
YES! I have the same problem, I can play most games and games like rocket league are totally fine. But I do battlefield, F1, or Forza Motorsport I can get to the main menu or maybe race for 30 seconds before it freezes and crashes! I hate it

Dude same. Like I can play NBA2K, GTA, forza without a single problem, everything goes smoothly. But when I try to play Fortnite or any other shooter game like The Finals, it crashes within minutes. Everytime I load up Fortnite it crashes my entire Xbox and turns it off and on. I’ve tried everything possible and at this point idk what’s the issue. Why for some games it’s fine, but others it’s not.
My brother got the same issue but it can run NBA and other games but it can’t run madden, college football, Fortnite, and etc
The fact that there are so many of these videos and I'm having so many problems with Microsoft makes me regret I ever switched from Sony. Why is Xbox so prone to problems ? I've never had this much problems with any of my playstion consoles in the past but as soon as I came to 360 and beyond I've always had hardware issues smh. It sucks bc gamepass is so good and I have a soft spot for exclusives but it's not even worth to with such a shitty product
It's a major issue with thermals I believe, It's happened to me much more than my 5 friends. We all have Series X, but 95% of crashes have happened to me
For overwatch specifically, I found switching to 60 fps in the xbox display settings instead of 120 really helps (I play on a native 120hz tv)
I've also crashed a lot on battlefield 2042, COD Cold War Zombies, and The new COD MWZ.
I got my nephew a series x for Christmas, so maybe I'll test his out to make sure it works properly before gifting it to him 😂
I have a ps5 and never had a issue at all. Got a Xbox x and crashes all the time.

Me too. I just got my 1st Xbox series x in July just to play the old cods. A month or 2 later the left analog stick scrolls up. I have to fight with that while playing. 😩 I haven’t been able to play MW2 09’ for a few months now. Whenever I get to the load screen it freezes every time. It has to be the game. I play MW3 2011 and it works fine. I’m so over xbox. 😡🤬
I have both a PS5 and Series X and they both crash frequently. Moving them in a horizontal position helped with both.
Apex has killed me lately over the last month. I freeze then dashboard all the time. I’ve used 2 different Xbox’s re downloaded the games wifi serviced. Idk what else to do.

I'm having this one problem where my graphics just spaz out and go crazy over my screen when I hover over anything with the controller. It only happens when I close a game, and anything my controller hovers over will start visually glitching.

If Xbox is overheating until all games start to crash it is sure to have a hardware problem so hard reset does nothing,this isn't Windows and PCs that can have many sets of hardware.
I only have a problem of crashes in Snowrunner and no other game is like that.
Daily updates we can't turn off keep updating mods while we play,it finishes and the game crashes and when we get in again after loading the game it says to go to main menu,it has new content.
Sometimes it's once and it can happen 3 times.
It's clear there are broken games that can create problems.
I recommend if its overheating put a fan next to it
Poor advice bad video, just made me waste 30 minutes of my time trying to reset everything just to have the same issue.
I had this crash issue constantly on a new X console and NOTHING worked to fix it. Luckily, it was still within the 30 day return window so I took it back, got a refund and bought a different unit. The new one runs perfectly with not a single lockup or crash in dozens of hours on high graphics intensity games. MS is selling DEFECTIVE units. Period. They need to fix their quality control problems.

-reset console
-clean it from dusk
-move it in another room and connect with another monitor with some different hdmi cabbles
-play games online and offline
nothing seems really work, and after 30/40 mins of gameplay some games (ELDEN RING, STARFIELD) crash.
I start think my console have some warm/overheat problem, but I don't see any message from it

I sent my Xbox to Microsoft to fix the hdmi port and when it came back it keeps crashing now. Xbox fuckud up my console and fucked me over and nothing I do solves the problem.

I stayed away from XBOX since the 360 because their product was crap. I was hoping after all this time they would have fixed things My bad because once again Microsoft screws over its customers and releases a product that isn't ready.

I have the same problem for whatever reason when I play any game my TV will glitch and start flashing green sometimes fast and I know it's not the TV but I did hear that other people are saying maybe just change the resolution instead of 4K to 1080P

If it crashes to the dashboard, it probably is Quick Resume, don't use it. Close the game and quit in the Xbox menu to stop Quick Resume the next time you open the game. Some games have problems with Quick Resume. But if it crashes and turns off, it probably is a hardware issue.

Cod is starting to do that to me. Every time I open it up, it’ll crash, it’s just a matter of time. First match it happens like 80% of the time but it’ll happen

I have the same issue on my xbox one. Whenever I try to open a game, it keeps crashing, sending me back to the home screen. I've had this console since 2015. I don't know if its due to it being old, and I do have software updated on it.

My Series S keeps crashing on Fallout 4. I did notice when I put my hand on the black speaker looking thing ( I guess that's a vent ) it was beyond hot. I moved it from inside the TV stand to outside of it. Lets see if this helps.

The Crew Motorfest is the only problem on my Series X, keeps freezing from time to time....
The only game I have a problem with is gta v,it would randomly kick me to the dashboard and wont even quick resume,it can happen 15 minutes in or even an hour in, only happens with gta,i can play gears of war for hours and it never crashes or any other game for that matter, anyway Idk maybe its just a gta thing

Yeah sorry to say to everyone that has a this problem and cannot fix it. You have a faulty console, you will need to send it in to Microsoft for repairs.
Even better when your warranty is expired, and they expect you to pay more than HALF the cost of the console just to send it in to be repaired. Absolute BS.

No it was not helpful. My buddy got me this xbox XS about a week ago. Got it off a guy who buys and sells xboxs. It's barely touched, but yet it still crashes. That guy and my buddy did factory resets before I got it. So no this doesn't help. It's properly vented too.

So just recently so many games are having a hard crash reset on Series S. Dead Space Remake, Blue Dragon, the Amnesia Collection...a 360 game, am xbox 1 game and a series s/x exclusive. There seems to be no rhyme or reason. But i just played a 2 hour session of Civ Rev with no issue...i liked this console until recently. Had since lauch. Maybe its just fs up and i need to accept i got a faulty unit

I play on series s and some games have some serious trouble running properly without crashing. Forza horizon 5 for example, near enough every couple hours it’ll crash and boot me off the game. Is it possible a slow internet connection can cause to do this? Or is it more likely overheating? Tbf, it does get rather warm after a little while. I’m more convinced it’s just the series s’s lack of power compared to the x. Anyone have any tips?
Turn on all settings that help with power saving and tryna refreshing everything when you get on or just play on low quality for better gaming experience when you play on like 720 p for some reason it runs smoove also check to make sure your console is in a nice air space and keeping the console cool and clear up some space make sure your not over 80% on your storage all those little things should help a little
