I listened to this recording with my dad many years ago. I didn't realise at the time, significance of the music and the feelings that would last a life time and still evoke some emotive memories. RIP the rebels and long live Ireland.
The Clancy Brothers & Tommy Makem are musically featured in this wonderful album, which I obtained when it first came out in 1966. BTW, de Valera was born in the USA, in The Bronx, I think. He changed his first name from Edward to Eamon.
