When you see the equation x = x1 + (a x lambda), you must recollect the equation v = u + (a x t) you learnt in Class IX Physics. These two equations are essentially the same. In both equations, the quantity on the LHS = the previous value of the quantity + (rate of change of that quantity x a scalar). If you learn this way, subjects become a lot easier and interesting.
