Modern thought leaders are focussing on worldly progress through education and jobs. But this is one sided. The other side is totally missing. Human being is made up of body and soul. One is worldly life and other life herein after (aakhirat). Most progressive people are focussing only on worldly gain forgetting aakhirat. Such approach is defective. Read Quranic ayah. "Baltu thirunal hayatad dunya wal akhiratu khairu wa abqa. You give higher priority to world life but aakhirat is far better and ever lasting. Hence muslims must focus on both simultaneously.
