I was about to buy leaf green version on Etsy, and by this video, it looks same as the fake one you pointed out here. It’s pretty disappointing people are selling fake ones… you saved me from falling for a fake so cheers!
I was really get scared when you were comparing them, until you showed and said that there are 2 types of authentic when it shows the year of the game being made. Thank you for making this video you really help everyone that are uneasy about buying old pokemon games.
@@pokeboy14a Hey, is there anyway I can send you a picture of the game Pokemon Crystal that I found on a app? If not I understand and if you do that'll be insane. Also can you play the Pokemon Crystal on a Gameboy Advance SP?
Me too! When I saw that there was no circle on the Nintendo logo and the writing was different inside of the chip had me worried. When the third Leafgreen was shown I sighed in relief lol 😂
after seeing they are fakes i realized how much money could be made from doing somthing like this, buy a few boards for how ever much, dump the roms on them then sell them in bundles so you can reasonable ask for a higher price. it's still ashame that we over price our old games as if their is only a few left, makes it hurt worse for all the game's lost over the years due to moving yourself or other things
Your channel should have better support:0' Your videos are so cool, i discovered your channel like a week ago and now i seen like 50 videos from you xD Regards from México:D
One thing I also notice about the authentic gba Pokémon games is that if you look at the front of the cartridge where it says gameboy advance you can see a small silver or white-ish circle, that is the screw showing and it is actually visible on all authentic games
Good eye! I noticed that later in my other GBA videos but you're correct. There's a difference in the colors of screws used. Thank you for your support!
@@kaneki242- I must also thank you-I saw a listing of the game that I thought was fake because the photo was too low res for the engraved numbers to be seen, but the screw is there and upon asking for more photos it was real!
@@kaneki242- what a f**** G man. my english is rly bad, im having trouble understanding this guy in the video. but at 3:08 above the seal of quality thing, you can see a number with 07. This Number isnt on fakes right?
Years ago my cousin found a leaf green copy on a parking lot and gave it to me ! So I'm happy it's a legit copy ! The only diferences are there is the number "1" instead of "MB" and the sticker is the french version.
there is a very late production with much lighter text on the maskrom chip and a much smaller flash memory chip that's unbranded it's probably the player's choice edition, which means it should share all the text (including on the maskrom chip, AGB-BPRE/BPGE-0) with version 1.1
I don’t know if it’s just the 2001 version but they have the date inside between the logo and Nintendo on the board I thought mine was fake until I looked at a few more 2001s and they all had it.
So if leaf green doesn’t have the white circle around the Nintendo on the board, it’s not real? Because I’ve seen a bunch without it, but some with it.
@@pokeboy14a That's a nice card, Victini looks good to, Bewear is the only one that looks out of place the art work looks way to cartoonish, it's a nice small set though, I am going to frame one and play with the second pack, I just need a Smeargle to complete set 2.
So my manufacturer code doesn't have a letter and the Nintendo isn't circled, but everything else you compared on the front is the same. Just need to get a 3 point screwdriver and open mine up to see.
Hi man, i have a question. I have a (i think original) leaf green but the inside is a little bit different than yours, may can i send u some photos of it to campare?
sure feel free to find me on insta as pokeboy14! I think as long as you have the other characteristics like the 4 square or MX chip there you should be fine. Thank you for your support!

it really is. like losing part of your treasures out there.
Makes me want to dump some fan games on fake carts so I can play them on my gba, and physically store them with my other games.
I love how the title says “is your copy of leaf green real or real?” Just worded differently😂
hahaha
You scared me for a second with the year inside geez mines missing the label so you definitely helped me out

Liked and subscribed thanks I'm about to buy a bunch of Pokemon games and needed a heads up
good luck on your pokemon hunt!
The fake Nintendo logo on the circuit board looks completely different but most online places won’t have a clear photo.
thanks a ton! buying carts online can always be challenging.
Also, the screws can turn color with age, depending on how it was stored and the environment the user has it in.
This was very helpful, thank you!
glad to help!
Thanks bruv, very helpful
They missed a bit of paint between the L and E in leaf

jeezus i thought i had two authentic ones but one is fake but its a darn good fake probably the best one out there
okay nvm i have two authentics just one doesnt work and it seems like the bars on the bottoom are just corroded
My LeafGreen version corrupts after battling Gary in S.S. Anne. Can't even get HM Cut to battle Lt. Surge 😭
I have leaf green and emerald authentic . Plays well. Cartridge in fair condition
Great finds!

it should be fine! there were 2 versions apparently. as long as the other characteristics are there.
I have a fake and i know it, after the elite 4 its playable? Because they say the save deletes

Nice, you got my feedback 🙂
I did! Thank you so much! It's a good catch!
The best way to know if it's fake is the window on the back. The real one has a window.
ok threw me off there cause i was convinced mine was 100% legit, but i have the other variant with the 2001 on it. thanks
What does it mean if instead of MB there is an l or maybe it’s a |
I have those cases just to keep the games safe.
yup! They are definitely useful, unfortunately the fakes usually come with them cases.
I can deal with repo games but clone consoles? Never.
maybe for rolling out daily use
I think mines fake tbh, i havent seen them in years but they have shady stickers
My leaf green says 2001 and everything else looks right
Are you kidding me mine is fucking fake it let me play but it doesn’t save for long
So this game ive had since i was a child is fake 💀
