They say Islam oppresses women, and needs to be liberalised. Yet as a woman, I don’t known of any society that oppresses women more than these very same societies that claim to be «liberal». They make it lawful for music to be blasted out loud infront of childrens and adults, with explicit lyrics that degrades the female body and nullifies it to mere pleasure. Meanwhile metaphores like food and objects are regularly used to describe the very body that birthed these singer. They go on to allow posters of nude women to be freely distributed, with no regards to the constitusion of marriage that may be severly affected by this evils. These very posters depict women as objects to be glanced at by random men who are only passing by and going on with their day. This oppression also affects young girls and their self-esteem, as these images are man-made to hide any signs of humanity (such as pimples, smilelines, cellulites, hyperpigmentation, etc..) -hence creating a more inhumane beauty-standard that can only be achieved by severe body modification and investing wealth & time in vanity. How is liberalism doing us any good if the foundation of a family: the women, are being oppressed in this manner? Are these women not Bani Adam? Are they not living dignified beings? Allah’s says: *«And We have certainly honored the children of Adam»* [17:70] To add to the damage, they force women to enter hard labour for hours as they take the prices up. So that no family can make a stable income without forcing every single woman to work tiredly. Women are being bombard with commercials that tell them they have to wear makeup and be fashionable, and risk their comforts for the sake of vanity. Which oddly enough doesn’t liberate them. And they are being marketed too 24/7. etc.. How is any of this positive for women? How is this producing bright next generations? 8/10 young girls who live here in Norway have self-esteem issues and struggles with body positivity. High rates of depression, suicide and anxiety. Their lives revolve around having a bikini-body and making sure that the Hip-to-waist ratio is good. They work endlessly to get a degree, while they sacrife the idea of building the construction of marriage alongside the pursuit of their degrees. They are content with settling down with lowly titles such as «girlfriends», while sharing a home with a man that has made no true commitment to them. They allow unkown strangers to use their body for pleasuring themselves, despite the fact that Allah designed their bodies in a amazing way that is able to produce forth life and carry a whole human being inside. No one treats women the way they deserve here. Yet Islam is oppressing women? Liberalism is the cause of female oppression, and has not reduced it. Rather it has added to it. Muslim countries and cultures need to fix their problems through islam. Female oppression will stop once the true islamic teachings that are based 100% on the Quran and the sunnah is implemented.May Allah grant us ease, and protect us from this disease called liberalism. The right to self- determination should never be taken away from anyone at all. The idea of creating a single system which ought to organize everyone’s thoughts and aspirations into a uniform expression contradicts the very notion of freedom and liberty. One of the striking contradictions here in this discourse is the suggestion that some people’s desires can limit the freedom of other people’s, while also advocating in the same breath for a system that totally takes away the freedom of everyone through the imposed ( either explicitly or implicitly) submission to God. If we judge a system by its effects, we must immediately recognize that western societies have their share of problems, but we must also be as honest and fair as to apply the same method to assert that Islamic societies as well have their substantial share of problems. In western societies, a structure exists in which changes can be brought about through the advancement of better ideas or opposition of ideas deemed counterproductive, all of which is exercised under the banners of freedom and liberty. Whereas, in a system that doesn’t allow for deviation at all from what has been pre-established under the pretext of divine will, there’s little room to question ideas, oppose them, or replace them with more productive ones. In such a society it’s quasi-impossible to bring about changes. It is clear by mere observation that an Islamic system can’t be proposed as being better than the system in place in western societies. I concede that western societies are far from being perfect, but at least everyone able and willing to bring about changes can work towards effecting the changes they want to see. What is a human being without her freedom to choose and the unopposed ability to mold herself into a better being?

There have been throughout history many groups who held the same illusion of truth, they had gone out to commit the highest level of atrocities: the crusade, the inquisition, the many lives lost in China, the Holocaust, Slavery, many genocides, just recently ISIS, and the treatment of the Uyghur community in China. So we should just ignore history and welcome the form of ideas responsible for these very atrocities we’re deploring here? I believe to adopt such a position would be madness. If you want to discuss religion, we can do that. But I don’t need to attack your religious views when they do not threaten my freedom to choose and my right to exist freely. Purely on an intellectual level we can discuss anything, even God, with all the pretension we can muster.
There is nothing wrong in advancement - being advance and being consistent in terms of morality are 2 different things. We follow certain standards and moral ethics even when we have to be better-being. One cant simply come and claim that their wishfull fantasies means to be being better-being. Even in scientitific advancement if you don't establish certain rules and regulations, it would become destructive. Morality is to prevent chaos, and establish contentment in human lives. We all know that social cohession is inversely propotional to individual freedom. And lack of social cohession could simply lead to discomfort followed by conflict of interest between people. Islam reverse this problem by creating the meams of altruism - by strenghtening the family system, and societies, giving common belief in people, common direction and ways and direction of worship the creator, common objective of life and life after death - common source of guidance and justice, islam increases commanalities between people by providing the objective. Thus increasing altruism and prosperity. Where as liberalism promotes following subjective desires - you may not physically harm people, but you may think you are doing good for others, but end-up psychologically hurting them. because there is no common understanding of ultimate good and bad, there is no objective and consistent source of recognizing what is right and what is wrkng - one always jumps from one extreme to another, and its impossible to find balance, due to subjectivity and volatality of individual emotions and desires. And due to this even justice is easily undermined.

If you look at job satisfaction you see that those with more autonomy are more satisfied, people prefer to be able to add their own creativity, skills and ideas to the problem rather than be essentially a robot in a factory line. Autonomy is liberty. Being liberal is not about doing whatever you want whenever you want and it is not about chasing pleasure. I’m liberal in that I think everyone should be able to chose their own path, I’m Buddhist because I understand not all paths are equal. The scholars have disagreed about the intended meaning of ‘shu’biha Al-arba’ (the fours) for some said that it means the arms and the legs, while others have said that it refers to the legs and thighs, and other said it means the legs and the edge of the pubic area. Al-Qadi Ayad chose the meaning of the four areas surrounding the vagina. The word (Shu’b) means areas, its singular form being (Shu’bah). As for those who say (Ashba’iha) that is the plural of the word (Shu’b). The word Aj-hada-ha (fatigue her) means to plow her, which was also stated by Al-Khatabi. Others have said it means to make her reach exhaustion as in the phrase ‘she made him toil and labor till he was exhausted’. Al-Qadi Ayad - may Allah rest his soul- said ‘Primarily, the word (Jahada’ha) means that the man exerted his effort working in a woman, where the word (Juh’d) means energy and refers to motion by describing the type of work. This is similar to his (the prophet) saying ‘he who plowed her’ meaning he who penetrated her by his motion. Otherwise, what other fatigue could a man experience because of her, and Allah knows best. The meaning of the hadith is that the necessity to wash is not limited to when semen is ejaculated, rater it is when the penile head (Hash-fa, lit. "the head of the male member," i.e. head of the penis) penetrates the vagina, then it is necessary for the man and the woman to wash. There is no disagreement on this today, even though there was disagreement on this by some of the early companions and others later. However, an agreement was later reached and this is what we have shown and presented previously. Our companions have said that if the penile head has penetrated A WOMAN’S ANUS, or A MAN’S ANUS, or AN ANIMAL’S VAGINA or ITS ANUS then it is necessary to wash whether the one being penetrated is alive OR DEAD, YOUNG OR OLD, whether it was done intentionally or absentmindedly, whether it was done willfully or forcefully. This also applies if the woman places the male member inside her while the man is asleep, whether the penis is erect or not, whether the penis is circumcised or uncircumcised. All these situations require that the person committing the act and the one the act is committed on must wash themselves, unless the person committing the act or the person the act is committed on is a young male or female. In that case it cannot be said that the person must wash, for they do not have the responsibility, rather it is said that this person is in a state of impurity. If that person can discern (the sexual act) then his guardian can command him to wash just as he commands him to perform the ablution washing for prayers. For if he prays without washing, his prayer has not been performed correctly; likewise if he doesn’t wash after he reaches puberty he must be forced to wash. If he washed as a youth and then reaches puberty, then he does not have to repeat the washing. Our companions have said that intercourse occurs when a healthy male’s penile head completely penetrates (an orifice), as has been unanimously agreed. Thus, when the penile head has completely disappeared (inside the orifice), then all the regulations concerning washing apply. It is unanimously agreed that it is not necessary that the entire penile shaft penetrate to apply the regulations of washing. If part of the penile head penetrates, then the regulations of washing are not imposed as is agreed, except by an odd few of our companions who said that even in this case all the regulations of washing apply. However, this opinion is wrong, rejected and abandoned. If the male member was severed and what remained was less than the length of the penile head, then none of the washing regulations apply. If the part remaining was equal in length to the penile head length then that part must completely penetrate for the regulation of washing to apply. If the part remaining was greater in length to the penile head length then there are two famous opinions for our companions. The most correct is that if the portion that penetrates is equal to the length of the penile head, then the regulations for washing apply. The other opinion is that none of the regulations for washing apply until the entire remaining length of the penile shaft completely penetrates and Allah knows best. If a man wraps a sheath around his male member and then ejaculates inside a woman’s vagina, then there are three opinions from our companions. The most famous is that the man must wash. The second is that he does not have to wash because he ejaculated inside the sheath. The third is that if the sheath is thick and prevents climax and wetness (in the vagina) then washing is not necessary, otherwise it is necessary and Allah knows best.

The second is that he does not have to wash because he ejaculated inside the sheath. The third is that if the sheath is thick and prevents climax and wetness (in the vagina) then washing is not necessary, otherwise it is necessary and Allah knows best.

They say Islam oppresses women, and needs to be liberalised. Yet as a woman, I don’t known of any society that oppresses women more than these very same societies that claim to be «liberal». They make it lawful for music to be blasted out loud infront of childrens and adults, with explicit lyrics that degrades the female body and nullifies it to mere pleasure. Meanwhile metaphores like food and objects are regularly used to describe the very body that birthed these singer. They go on to allow posters of nude women to be freely distributed, with no regards to the constitusion of marriage that may be severly affected by this evils. These very posters depict women as objects to be glanced at by random men who are only passing by and going on with their day. This oppression also affects young girls and their self-esteem, as these images are man-made to hide any signs of humanity (such as pimples, smilelines, cellulites, hyperpigmentation, etc..) -hence creating a more inhumane beauty-standard that can only be achieved by severe body modification and investing wealth & time in vanity.
How is liberalism doing us any good if the foundation of a family: the women, are being oppressed in this manner? Are these women not Bani Adam? Are they not living dignified beings? Allah’s says: *«And We have certainly honored the children of Adam»* [17:70]

How is any of this positive for women? How is this producing bright next generations? 8/10 young girls who live here in Norway have self-esteem issues and struggles with body positivity. High rates of depression, suicide and anxiety. Their lives revolve around having a bikini-body and making sure that the Hip-to-waist ratio is good. They work endlessly to get a degree, while they sacrife the idea of building the construction of marriage alongside the pursuit of their degrees. They are content with settling down with lowly titles such as «girlfriends», while sharing a home with a man that has made no true commitment to them. They allow unkown strangers to use their body for pleasuring themselves, despite the fact that Allah designed their bodies in a amazing way that is able to produce forth life and carry a whole human being inside. No one treats women the way they deserve here. Yet Islam is oppressing women? Liberalism is the cause of female oppression, and has not reduced it. Rather it has added to it.
Muslim countries and cultures need to fix their problems through islam. Female oppression will stop once the true islamic teachings that are based 100% on the Quran and the sunnah is implemented.May Allah grant us ease, and protect us from this disease called liberalism. Ameen. ✨

The right to self- determination should never be taken away from anyone at all. The idea of creating a single system which ought to organize everyone’s thoughts and aspirations into a uniform expression contradicts the very notion of freedom and liberty. One of the striking contradictions here in this discourse is the suggestion that some people’s desires can limit the freedom of other people’s, while also advocating in the same breath for a system that totally takes away the freedom of everyone through the imposed ( either explicitly or implicitly) submission to God. If we judge a system by its effects, we must immediately recognize that western societies have their share of problems, but we must also be as honest and fair as to apply the same method to assert that Islamic societies as well have their substantial share of problems.
In western societies, a structure exists in which changes can be brought about through the advancement of better ideas or opposition of ideas deemed counterproductive, all of which is exercised under the banners of freedom and liberty. Whereas, in a system that doesn’t allow for deviation at all from what has been pre-established under the pretext of divine will, there’s little room to question ideas, oppose them, or replace them with more productive ones. In such a society it’s quasi-impossible to bring about changes. It is clear by mere observation that an Islamic system can’t be proposed as being better than the system in place in western societies.
I concede that western societies are far from being perfect, but at least everyone able and willing to bring about changes can work towards effecting the changes they want to see.

There have been throughout history many groups who held the same illusion of truth, they had gone out to commit the highest level of atrocities: the crusade, the inquisition, the many lives lost in China, the Holocaust, Slavery, many genocides, just recently ISIS, and the treatment of the Uyghur community in China. So we should just ignore history and welcome the form of ideas responsible for these very atrocities we’re deploring here? I believe to adopt such a position would be madness.
If you want to discuss religion, we can do that. But I don’t need to attack your religious views when they do not threaten my freedom to choose and my right to exist freely. Purely on an intellectual level we can discuss anything, even God, with all the pretension we can muster.

There is nothing wrong in advancement - being advance and being consistent in terms of morality are 2 different things.
We follow certain standards and moral ethics even when we have to be better-being. One cant simply come and claim that their wishfull fantasies means to be being better-being.
Even in scientitific advancement if you don't establish certain rules and regulations, it would become destructive.
Morality is to prevent chaos, and establish contentment in human lives.
We all know that social cohession is inversely propotional to individual freedom. And lack of social cohession could simply lead to discomfort followed by conflict of interest between people.
Islam reverse this problem by creating the meams of altruism - by strenghtening the family system, and societies, giving common belief in people, common direction and ways and direction of worship the creator, common objective of life and life after death - common source of guidance and justice, islam increases commanalities between people by providing the objective. Thus increasing altruism and prosperity.
Where as liberalism promotes following subjective desires - you may not physically harm people, but you may think you are doing good for others, but end-up psychologically hurting them. because there is no common understanding of ultimate good and bad, there is no objective and consistent source of recognizing what is right and what is wrkng - one always jumps from one extreme to another, and its impossible to find balance, due to subjectivity and volatality of individual emotions and desires. And due to this even justice is easily undermined.

If you look at job satisfaction you see that those with more autonomy are more satisfied, people prefer to be able to add their own creativity, skills and ideas to the problem rather than be essentially a robot in a factory line. Autonomy is liberty. Being liberal is not about doing whatever you want whenever you want and it is not about chasing pleasure. I’m liberal in that I think everyone should be able to chose their own path, I’m Buddhist because I understand not all paths are equal. Authoritarian states, prohibition, severe punishments as a way of prevention and punishment as a tool for rehabilitation have all been shown by history to be ineffective ways of creating positive social change. Islam as understood by some (not all) seems stuck in perpetuating these unhelpful ideas.

The scholars have disagreed about the intended meaning of ‘shu’biha Al-arba’ (the fours) for some said that it means the arms and the legs, while others have said that it refers to the legs and thighs, and other said it means the legs and the edge of the pubic area. Al-Qadi Ayad chose the meaning of the four areas surrounding the vagina. The word (Shu’b) means areas, its singular form being (Shu’bah). As for those who say (Ashba’iha) that is the plural of the word (Shu’b). The word Aj-hada-ha (fatigue her) means to plow her, which was also stated by Al-Khatabi. Others have said it means to make her reach exhaustion as in the phrase ‘she made him toil and labor till he was exhausted’. Al-Qadi Ayad - may Allah rest his soul- said ‘Primarily, the word (Jahada’ha) means that the man exerted his effort working in a woman, where the word (Juh’d) means energy and refers to motion by describing the type of work. This is similar to his (the prophet) saying ‘he who plowed her’ meaning he who penetrated her by his motion. Otherwise, what other fatigue could a man experience because of her, and Allah knows best. The meaning of the hadith is that the necessity to wash is not limited to when semen is ejaculated, rater it is when the penile head (Hash-fa, lit. "the head of the male member," i.e. head of the penis) penetrates the vagina, then it is necessary for the man and the woman to wash. There is no disagreement on this today, even though there was disagreement on this by some of the early companions and others later. However, an agreement was later reached and this is what we have shown and presented previously. Our companions have said that if the penile head has penetrated A WOMAN’S ANUS, or A MAN’S ANUS, or AN ANIMAL’S VAGINA or ITS ANUS then it is necessary to wash whether the one being penetrated is alive OR DEAD, YOUNG OR OLD, whether it was done intentionally or absentmindedly, whether it was done willfully or forcefully. Indeed: Commentary of Imam Al-Nawawi on the Hadith The saying of the prophet - peace be upon him- ‘If one sits between a woman’s fours (shu’biha Al-arba) and then fatigues her’ In another narration the word ‘Ashu’biha’ is used.
