VideoMic Go 2 is one of the GOAT mics. Greatest of all time size, features, sound, and cost. You could do anything with that thing. Glad for more competition.
Videomic Go 2 has a much more full sound by comparison. I'd still give the edge for the Videomic Go 2 (at $30 more) barring the Videomic Go 2's SPL issues.

I came across this video and the Røde VideoMic Go II. I'm looking for an all in one mic that I can use on my iphone 13 pro max to record my sons basketball games, my daughters cheer competitions, shows at Kings Island and Cedar Point, travel vlog videos. Is the Røde VideoMic Go II going to be my best option or is there something else I should consider?
Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help me (I'm new to this all). If you had to choose between Movo vxr10 pro or Movo X1-Mini, which would be the better choice in regards to the audio that it captures. Kind regards 😊

Sadly, that is just the furry windscreen not doing its job. That’s a common sound with wind. If you are looking into the Movo, I would still get the furry windscreen that rode sells (since it does fit on the movo), if you plan on being outside quite often!
I have a problem calling these mics "shotgun" mics. If it doesn't have a lobar pattern and the interference tube is not long enough to cancel more than "A" frequency, I wouldn't consider it a shotty... just a SDC. Marketing at it's finest! Kinda a thumbs down for me for vocal use. I think it did better on the guitar than it did on voice lol. Whats up with you walkin thru the Fallout wastelands?! lol
@@meistudiony I’ve always wondered why they just haven’t embraced the SDC look with these. I mean the REALLY small ones do, but not this “middle” area. 🤣 it does look like that! Close to our neighborhood we have an undeveloped area so whenever I shoot stuff like this I just go there so I don’t have to deal with anyone haha. Soon enough it will have houses though 😞

Maybe it's time for the Rode to Movo-ver?

Amazed at the video production on this channel along with the audio information

Can we get a purr test with the wind screen?? with a little camera trickery i think you could make such a thing happen..
@@dannylightning-audio-reviews my cat Blue does look like a furry windscreen! 🤣

Great review man.
The VideoMic Go ll is tough to beat for 100 bucks, especially considering the included software.
My selfie stick has a shoe mount below the ball mount...works great for getting the more direct shotgun sound
oh hell yeah! I love that!
Thanks so much for the honest review!

As a Go II owner and a Movo WMX-2 owner, I still can't help but want to pick this up. Having 2 cameras warrants 2 shotgun mics, right? 😅
@@JoseOnTheAir that math is correct 😈

Is the stuttering during your outdoor Movo unalive cat test (8:22-ish) due to the mic or some other technical difficulty?

People never talk about how you can use the VideoMic Go 2 with an interface using a Rode VXLR+ or VXLR Pro.
@@rickonmic I actually did that for part of this video

Rode definitely sounds better to me
