Brad did my old ranger... hands down the most confident I’ve ever been both handing over the keys and getting them back, fabrication was on point. Ford should have a long bed option !
Can you do a more detailed vid on what the process was done on the stretch? Am I right in saying you now have an extra cab tub on the back instead of the dual cab tub?
Brad's been burnt before with people so we didn't want to show too much of the details. Essentially what is done is a 300mm extension added in the chassis between the front and rear axles. That length suits a space cab tub but he does do other lengths too
I don’t know why Ford didn’t go that direction. They don’t make the super cab regular size bed anymore. The only option you have is the crew cab with the short bed so if that’s the only option yes, the extended frame with the regular size bed is a great idea. My question is are there any companies in the United States that do this?
Hey mate, it was night and day to be honest. The whole rig just feels so much more planted now. If you've driven a 2-door and 4-door Jeep that's basically the difference. Yeah she's still on leafs.
Just found your chan by watching the patrol vid on Ronny Dahls chan which was great! That Patrol is one Rad custom truck! I'm definately checking you guys out and liking what I'm seeing! Quick question brought on by this vid though. So are you telling me that my 2008 Nissan Frontier crew cab long wheel base with the 6 foot bed is actually a potentially awesome tourer/overlander platform in comparison to the mostly tiny bed mid size trucks? I had been wanting to build the Frontier into an overlanding rig but I thought it might be too long of a platform. I know of course you can overland just about anything but I have always been concerned about the longer wheelbase and how it might affect my ability to really get off the beaten path. But now after watching you guys cut up and extend two trucks I'm wondering if my Frontier might just be a great versatile size platform that can be great for touring/overlanding. Work And Play ya know, that's what us one truck guys gotta work with. Also if ya dont mind what are the wheel bases on the streched patrol and ranger?
Hey mate, the Ranger is 138in wheelbase and the Patrol is 129in wheelbase. If you’re focused more on travelling than technical driving the long wheelbase is absolutely the way to go. There’s more benefits than drawbacks if that makes any sense. A couple inches of lift and tyres makes all the difference too but neither rig have ever struggled in technical wheeling.
@@RedDirtDiary Thanks so much for the reply and I appreciate the expert advice! I'll have to think more seriously about building the frontier now, especially now I have another Great channel to watch and get Great information and entertainment from! Thanks so much for what you guys do! I'll be watching!
It’s pretty sad Ford don’t offer this size tub from the start, they’re becoming somewhat unpractical soccer Mum cars, anybody who wants to load it up properly ends up having to throw all their shit on roof racks.

Man, the long boi looks amazing in person and I guess you manage to make it look ok on video. That price is a bargain
That Surf was sick mate. Flexing to the moon and back
100%, long bed option from factory should have been a thing. I always feel sad when I see the long bed Tacomas in the states
I totally agree. I love my Ranger, but I wish it had a long bed.
Yeah. No kidding. I hate that you can only get a 6ft bed on and extended or "super cab" but not on the double cab.
We want to see what the stretch is like in the harder tracks!
Awesome vid mate, looking forward to “the garage” projects
fark thats a good price, definetly something to look at

It's a tough call to make isn't it

There's probably some on the Boost Cruising archives - Will swap for minitruck, air bagged accord, or VL Turbo with stockies on the rear - Dan
Did i see this ranger getting a new head? Any big plans for the donk? The 3.2 is quite the performer with basic mods.
Yea the mini truck 😍😍
Go the rotors.
