What a nice DIY project! Many thanks for sharing, it's interesting to see the interior of an e-piano and the problem-solving story. Great it's fully functional for classes too ☺
I have a lot of black keys being extremely quiet or some loud with inconsistent loudness in an lp 180 i received, i guess I'll open it up and give it a clean!
Any recommendations for a Casio Celviano AP620 doing the same thing? I've gotten the keys off and the area cleaned but still no change to that key's issue. Thanks in advance!
@@bennybennybenny123 It worked, and then it didn't haha. It turns out if you've already cleaned on top maybe there's some absorbent material like dust that gets wet and conductive when there's humidity, specially in rain season, so you really just gotta open you're windows too or use a dehumidifier
For what I say it doesn't solve it completely is when you press two notes and a third adjacent sounds fun volume. When it happens that you play a specific note and that same note plays louder but not like full volume then there's probably something physically obstructing
@@davidsantiagorassagutierre7527 I fixed it, I must have pressed something in the menu, so just reset the synth to then original factory settings , check on google
After i opened, the sound was back to normal before i even touched anything. So i just cleaned and screwed it back. This morning as i was playing, it occurred again. I don't know why! 😶🌫️
Brother, thank you. You helped me fix my keyboard in within two minutes of this video. Took me less than fifteen to fix my problem.
Glad it helped
@@MusicOnlineUK lost a couple of screws in the process though, but worth! Ypt-410 still running strong
Thanks for this, I have had 2 keys intermittently doing this for a while and this appears to have fixed the problem!
Good to hear.

There a cut at at 1:04 and it looks like you had to remove something in the front in order to remove the keys.
Well done. 🎉
Thanks for the video, but I really wish you had placed the camera close-up the the area that you diagnosed and were working on.
🎉 Well done !

Did you try under the plastic pads that house the contacts
Have you ever fixed a note that just went dead? Could it be a similar dust problem?
Yes the same problem can make notes go dead
That's happening to me rn. I'll try to do this and let y'all know

Its a few of by black keys that sound loud
My piano is now doing the same thing, with C#. I really want to fix it, but worried I'll either break it or wont be able to put it back together 🤔
It will be fine if you remember where all the screws came from. Turn power off before you start of course.

After I've cleaned up everything, it's still the same... :(
Need to change mother board
I replace the silicone rubber still the same. It is the motherboard not dust or silicone rubber. Need to replace
