Why's that? MMA has rules catered for grapplers. Without those rules, ANYTHING can happen on the ground or when something is attempting to take someone to the ground. Rules are catered for no one when it is combat. I would personally side on the person with better striking skills than some idiot ducking his head down to try to take his enemy down. And Hasim DOES have better striking skills than Rampage does.

My grandpa and his buddy are both Navy war veterans, with his buddy being a Navy Seal Viet Name Vet. (WW2 for my grandpa)
Mixed martial artistists lose to boxers because they do not know boxing.
My sensei always told me to learn to box, then learn what beats boxing.
Once you learn that, learn the style of fighting to beat it.
That way, one is not ignorant to defeat and can recognize what's coming at them and know how to properly defend and then attack that style.
Thing is, between MMA fighters and boxers getting in a ring to fight eachother, MMA fighters always have to be the ones to accommodate the boxers. Yet some boxers always talking that 'MMA fighters aint shit' talk but the MMA fighters always gotta play by the 'hands only' rule.

If you truly want to see who a better fighter is, you would allow all forms of fighting such as Sambo, Jiu Jitsu, Wrestling, Clinching, etc. This is another reason why boxing is a dying sport. IT'S BORING. The referee is involved way too much, and the amount of constant head damage that boxers take when in a bout is so high that boxing poses a greater risk of serious injury than MMA.
