@@madnessarcade7447 It has nothing to do with the budget. CGI is expensive lol. The dress doesn’t match her. It’s part of the plot. The whole pretty princess thing wasn’t for Mal and it showed through the dress. That’s y it changed after she became a dragon. And the new purple dress was also the one in the glass picture thingy Ben designed showing the “real her”. It was part of her character discovery. Descendants actually had a pretty high budget for a Disney movie. 🤓

A) It's stated quite blatantly in the first movie, that's fairy godmothers philosophy and she is head of the school, they are meant to follow it as well.
B) Evie straight told her that her spellbook belongs in the museum with her mirror.
C) Any time she did a spell for herself, people were on her case about it. But if they needed magical help, no judgement
in the book, beast forbid magic. Maybe thats why? But then again the fairy has her wand at every occasion so idk
Descendants 2 definitely gives “late night movie adventure” vibe. I love it!

15:55 Evie and Doug’s relationship similarly to Mal and Ben ran its course to me in this movie. Evie and Doug aren’t interesting anymore, and Mal doesn’t want the life being with Ben gives. I’m surprised you didn’t notice the chemistry between Evie and Ben in this movie🙈he also has more chemistry with Uma than Mal too. And seeing what Mal does as future queen in Descendants 3…she’s not cut out for this life

I don't see Uma as a villian. She's just a product of her environment, a kid who deserves a second chance. And yeah, mal did a lot of questionable things in this movie.... And it gets worst. But she is a very grey character, which I like.
Looking back since there on the island the wand wouldn't even work anyway because in the first movie didn't they say magic doesn't work there and that's why they had to break the barrier 😂
I think the wand is the thing that made there be no magic, so it’s the only thing that can undo it

I was disappointed with the rap battle. I liked Uma and Ben, but I was expecting Mal to BRING IT and she just...fell so flat for me. Like she's supposed to be the biggest and baddest and Uma was really eating her up

I recommend you to definitely watch Descendants 3 because it ate down bad. You won’t be disappointed promise you that🥰

There was this one girl who I had some classes with throughout middle school and high school, and she was black, and after this movie came out, she dyed her hair whitish-aqua and had it in numerous braids and I once heard someone call her "Uma," which confirmed to me that she was trying to look like Uma because Uma's look is so iconic.
