If you hold the button down (while flashlight is off) the flash light will blink twice and prevent the light from turning on when accidentally pressed. It'll blink at you to leery you know it is locked.
@@NEBOLights what kind of battery do I need for the slyde king. I've bought 2 different kinds of 18650 batteries and neither of them work. I think it's because of the Ring that is on the positive side but I can't find one like it anywhere
Jacob, the SLYDE KING (1st Gen) uses a custom 18650 battery and can only be replaced by a SLYDE KING battery. You can find them at the following link: www.nebotools.com/p/SLYDE-KING-%281st-Gen%29-Battery/581
@@NEBOLights Making a custom battery, when a standard size exists, is a pretty big "screw you" to your customers. Your link is broken and the battery is hard to find. A standard battery, 18650, would have solved this for less than a millimeters difference in size. I own your flashlight (slyde king) and I love it.... but the battery is almost gone. I replaced with a standard 18650 battery and discovered this issue...... and now I see this. This is like the kiss of death... I won't buy your brand again. Fire the person who came up with this manipulative, purposeful idea to screw customers. Even today, you don't mention that it is a custom battery on the sales sites that I have seen.... I had to see it in a comment on a youtube video that I only saw because I was looking for another flashlight.
I have a Slyde King light. I truck cattle for a living, and my Slyde King is great. The magnetic base is handy to affix light to loading chute to back up in the dark. Bright light is really helps checking my load (cattle gotta stand up). I’ve had it turn on and drain the battery, but the light is so valuable I take care the light doesn’t get turned on. Wish I could get another plastic cover for the charging port. All in all, I’m very happy with my light, and other guys who’ve seen my light want one.
I've had this flashlight for years and I forgot how to access the batteries. I'm so thankful they were not ruined. Thank you for this video and also for reminding everyone to change the batteries in your fire detectors😂😂😂
I bought a NEBO slyde king and really like the light, after about a year or so the light won't charge and I replaced the battery. still does not work. looks like NEBO is not supporting us user's who the first generation (rechargeable) of the light. I expected more service out of the light than I received, now i'm not so sure If I want to spend more money on a NEBO brand light. anyone have comments on repairs of my light or another brand that will hold up over time ?
I asked feeling you might have one that you might sell My question was two months ago And since then I did buy in fact more than one But thanks for the follow up
I have the same problem with the Slyde King, most stupid switch on a flash light ever. Accidently turn it on. Accidently turn it off. To Cy, yes he did, the button sucks. It's enough to encourage you to look to another product. Great flashlight. Good beam, evenly distributed light, spotlight and wide beam is good. The torch light is white or red or flashing red. Love the magnetic end. It's a little on the heavy side, but I like the rechargeable. I wouldn't buy this as a carry around utility flash light because of the SUPER sensitive on/off switch. And I wouldn't but this (again) as a tool box light because of the switch, it's an absolute product killer.
This was not a review this was a rant about the friggin button.., if you're too sloppy to store your flashlight in a way that it won't be turned on then that's really your problem.. I'm in the army and I've used this flashlight to aid soldiers to load vehicles and in many other operations, i don't think a tactical light such as this one should be in your hands.. sloppy joe.

Bree West Correct, we call this the lockout feature.

Sweet, I didn't know this! Had one and loved it, but occasionally found it on in my pocket. I'd pull it out to use it and it'd be dead half hah

Beeping smoke detector is annoying
He should use his slide to find that annoying chirp.
I kind of like the button on the newer slide king because you can turn it on and off with welding gloves on
you know there is a lockout function to prevent it turning on accidently? press and hold the button for 5 sec
Camera battery died. So did the smoke detector battery.

My battery wouldnt hold a charge within 3 months of buying it. They told me they dont make them anymore. Its a special battery, and now u cant get it.
They only last 4-5 months both are junk
tell me how to replace the bulb so the frint light works!!!
How to charge the battery on the red button flash light don't have a port
Change the battery in your smoke detector
I had a slide for 5 years now the switch went bad and it keeps switching modes from front to side.
I love mine and bought 2 additional ones when they went on sale.
Wait until you need to replace the battery.. forget it.

Simply lock it in off mode by holding the button for five seconds.
Much less likely to turn on accidentally.
