Finally getting around to doing this! Decided to start with my favorite study from the set :) Also for those of you that might not know yet, the copyright claim on my comparison video for Liszt's S.140/S.141 Paganini etudes FINALLY got lifted, so you can see that video on my AnExarion channel here: ruclips.net/video/MHEOEmhBLw4/видео.html
@@TheExarion I just assume that what went through his mind before composing all his(L.G.'s) etudes on F.C.'s etudes was something like: -Op10,Op25 exist and people think its quasi the hardest in the piano literature. - L.G. be like : pfff, hold my beer. What I personally found funny/hilarious is that the complexification is exaggerated to an almost absurde level and there for of a comical value/nature to me rather than serious "deep" music meaning.
@@bozodorochenko8872 While I don't agree, I appreciate your perspective at least lol. However, you'll find that there's a lot to behold once you give Godowsky's studies an honest look! I never knew what my left hand was capable of until looking at his work.
LMAO to be honest, this is one of the easiest studies out of the 54 (in my opinion). I can personally play this one. If you follow Godowsky's fingerings, he actually made it really really accessible.
@@alejandrom.4680 - I responded with a little snippet of me playing the first part of this! :) Not perfect, but if I practice enough I can get it there (which I have in the past). I can honestly say I have an easier time playing this than the original Chopin Op.10 No.6 haha, I still cannot play the original properly. This study honestly isn't very difficult after a good amount of practicing, and (imo) very easy to memorize. Godowsky is seriously a master at making something very comfortable for the hands, despite it being obviously very difficult. That being said, 99% of Liszt and most of Godowsky's other pieces are too difficult for me. I can play the studies after Op.10 No.6, Op.10 No.12, and Op.25 No.12. The other ones I either haven't tried or are too difficult/uncomfortable for me. The solo left hand study after Op.25 No.1 is a good example of one that I've tried and can't seem to tackle, despite it looking (and sounding) even easier than this one.

It's like a mixture of Chopin's etude in e flat minor and Rachmaninoff's etude tableau in e flat minor. I like it
Interesting. I’d say it’s more like a mixture of Chopin Etude in eb minor and Rach Moment Musical in e minor
It sounds more like what chopin intended actually, not the slower tempi people take today!!!
What a rendition!
〈Desperate lament in Loneliness〉
The author (Godowsky ) had quite a lot of humour !!! Absolutely hilarious 😂!
where the hell are you finding humor in THIS piece of all pieces???

Piss off mate how can someone actually play these

@@TheExarion If you call this easy..., you probably mastered some Godowsky pieces before, or at least Liszt Etudes. Godowsky make Liszt seems easy
