Studying is so much find with your videos!
Happy to hear that!
A 2nd watch :) I started a good flight today, but over stressed F28 and that was it ! There's a special sound when you speed into the red/white stripe airspeed, says "clonk clonk" you had it briefly too :) Danke again
I was not so much interested on this plane but now i really want to buy it….
Brilliant tutorials which you make easy to follow, loved your 737 content now enjoying these. What a different world this and the 146 are in comparison to the 737.
Great vids and I hope you long continue to make them. 👍
excellent! this will keep me busy! so much to observe and do!
Well explained, danke !
I interpreted setting climb power differently, those two thrust ref switches below left power lever, just select climb and leave the levers in the notch. Then set the thrust ref back to takeoff for the approach. Easier to let the aircraft hold 470 degrees instead of waiting that long to do it manually.
Reading the manual I uderstood that the 470 figure is just the TTC limit if is set to "climb" it's not a value to stick on (also it seems strange to me to use a value in a yellow band), in climb you simply reduce the throttles until you hear the "click" of the detent.
Also looking at 12:55 he is at 102%~ HP RPM which is above the rule of "101.0 HP RPM max. 5 min" max takeoff.
The limt of continous thrust is "98.5 HP RPM unrestricted duration"
If the TTC switch is on "TAKEOFF" the TGT is 520 C, in "CLIMB" is 470 C (unless the thrust levers are above 98% in this case the TGT will be increased again to 520 C)
For fellow simbrief users: The "SWA" OFP format will give you VOR frequencies like the RYR format used in the video at 16:40. In my use so far, AAL format will NOT give you those frequencies.
Thanks again for a great set of videos! Question on crosswind takeoffs - during initial roll, how is a pilot supposed to hold the tiller, throttles and yoke to turn ailerons into the wind? 🐙 or would you allow the copilot to handle throttles in that case for example? Feels like a lot for 1 ‘pilot flying’…
