Great video - It should be noted that some (including my 2016 Ram) had a slot for a cabin air filter but did not ever cut the opening to slide a filter in. Hard to believe - believe it! You will need to cut an opening in the plastic (not easy) and then buy a cap to snap back over your filter once you slide it in.

Great video. Quick advice on what filter to buy; DON'T get the thick ones, they will shorten the life of your ac unit. The current false advertising that is running rampant is an N95 cabin filter. Don't fall for it. There is no vehicle that is sealed to make that useful except those that are designed for it. Such as a space shuttle or submarine or other similar purposed vehicle. Having the windows up doesn't mean your vehicle is sealed. You are always breathing outside air 100%. The purpose of the filter is because of the vacuum effect the ac unit causes, it intakes more air in such an isolated spot that it causes a vacuum and can suck up pollen, dust, leaves, grass particles, etc.. your face is no where near the filter therefore you are personally still breathing outside air as it's constantly coming in through various crevices, holes, openings that are natural in all vehicles. The more you limit the vacuum effect (by getting a thicker filter) the more harder the ac has to work. As some of you mentioned a lot, and I mean a lot of vehicles do not even have cabin filters, but the slot is there for that purpose should the car owner want to put one in. Just remember your breathing the same air that is outside no matter what size thickness you put in there. Just trying to help you save some $$$

I was in Naples Chrysler Dodge (Naples FL) for a brake job on my RAM 3500 and they recommended the cabin air filter be replaced. Along with $6300 in other recommendations.
