Once again another masterpiece - Discoverd Kevin years ago after watching some Bob Ross videos.... Bob deserves credit for being a pioneer of painting tutorials on video and got so many interested - But Kevin here is a master of the craft on a level that's surpasses the infamous Bob Ross. Kevins paintings are so good that they look like professional nature photography at first glance until you realize it's actually a painting.

Just got here. I'm returning to my art after many years and was checking my tenique. Got the sky done, textured, thick with medium palette knife and am starting on my mountain (Mount Ranier). I needed a few tips and found this. It helps me know I was going in the right direction.

also love the new camera setup, seems so much more professional, not complaining about your previous vidoes at all, didn't even think you can improve on them but you did ^^ one of your best paintings imo, love the sharp rextures and transition of values from lighter to darker

If you use raw sienna and white you can get that yellow glow you want without it going green against blue. Works in seascapes extremely well and should for yours too.
He is such a great teacher he seems like a very nice guy
This proves the importance of values in a painting. Even though it is so rough and texturized (because it was with a knife) it still looks extremely realistic because his values are in order. Values always, everything else takes care of itself then

Bob Ross always said you could do entire paintings with only the knife but I don't remember ever seeing an episode of that, though I'm sure he did one or two.
