Sometimes those chemo drugs can be worse than the disease. My hubby also had thrush during his cancer treatments. You probably already have this, but he was given something called "Magic Mouthwash", which I think was prescribed because it contained some lidocaine to give him a little temporary relief from the pain. I hope you were at least able to find some comfort in having your family all together during the camping trip. It looked like they all had a great time ... even Roxie looked like she was thinking about dipping her toes in the water. And that picture of her on your hubby's lap was so cute. Sending my best wishes that your side effects are lessening.
Thanks Ann. I got the magic mouth wash and it is helping a tiny amount but this pain is so debilitating. We are cancelling our trip to Alberta which is very sad but I know deep inside that I can't do it and it wouldn't be fair to the family to be worrying about me. I talk with the oncologist on Tuesday and we shall see what she suggests cause I tell you, this is not how I want to live my final years. The grandkids and my daughters are being so loving and helpful. For that, and for Allan, I am grateful.

thank you Martie. My Oncologist has temporarily taken me off the chemo pills because my mouth is filled with sores. I have never felt pain like I have felt for the past two weeks but things are slowly healing and then we will see what's in store for me. Thanks so much for watching!
