As somebody who has mained K Rool since Ult dropped... how did somebody say he's fun cause he's not cheesy? Like, I love this character. But he's INSANELY cheesy lmao
He’s 100% cheesy, I guess it’s less annoying when you figure out how to exploit his very strong weaknesses and when you realize he’s somewhat of an online merchant.
"They're the most hated characters cuz they have a simple overpowered gameplan" excuse me but wtf are you suppose to do that's simple with Megaman, because i for sure have no clue what the hell I'm doing as him😭
No surprises here. People hate changing up their linear approaches and one-note strategies but love comboing big bodies and edgeguarding bad recoveries.
Yes, because that’s more fun than trying to catch a small ass character that can basically teleport across the stage with how fast he is. Oh, and make sure you don’t mess up, because if you get hit by his invincible on startup side b, you’ll take a ton of damage or just die from his broken edge guarding and advantage state. And did I mention the fact that he doesn’t need to commit to that side b? Yeah, if he wants, he’ll just cancel it and start charging another one. Isn’t it just so interesting to fight something like this?
@@BigMarioFan28 Yeah, I made the comment before watching the video lol. I just assumed it would all be about Sonic based on the thumbnail. That’s my bad
Brother, the problem with sonic is that he's heavily unbalanced. The simple fact is that he shouldn't have such a good punish game (top 5 punish) if he specializes in evasion/speed. He just hits too hard.
Poppt should work for Nintendo with this optimal research and help them develop the next Smash Bros game This is just a joke idk why people are taking it seriously
this is not good though, nintendo's already got a data collection team that has much more accurate data, with a much larger sample size , in one of their youtube videos, Sakurai explained that they had a lot of data collected on smash, and could use it for balance, for instance, there is barely any gap between the win loss ratio of every character, I believe the key stat was that the character with the worst win loss ratio (name not given in the video) was only under the highest win/loss ratio character by 1.8%
I main Sonic (second to Mario) because I love him as a character and I love playing his games, but I will NEVER defend his optimal playstyle. I hate watching players run away with him and not engage. Sure, his moveset calls for it, but that’s why he really needs a revamp. Sonic’s a guy that doesn’t run away from danger but straight at it, so his personality suits aggressive playstyle abysmally more than the campy playstyle. For that reason, I think Sonic would really hate to see how people play as him. The rare aggressive Sonics I’ve seen are really fun to watch. I LOVE playing Ultimate aggressively, and that’s exactly how I play Sonic; no thoughts, run in, attack. You might find me going for style and maybe killing myself trying to do so half the time. In short, optimal Sonic. Boring to watch. Aggro Sonic. Awesome to watch. Give him a cooler moveset in Smash 6.
Yea, unfortunately the editing was pretty sloppy in this video. Not saying it to be rude, there was just a lot of noticeable mistakes. There was that, Lucina having a picture of Ike, and there was a moment when there was a silhouette that showed it was DK under it at the last second (which didn't seem intentional).
There are so many editing mistakes in the video, from numbers not matching what the voice is saying to blurs not remaining blur all the way, this video needs more time in the oven
Captain Falcon just makes the game fun. Rather he kicks butt, gets his butt kicked, or plays a balanced game, he's going to make it entertaining. He's a showoff, and it can be easy to try to showoff when playing him, which may get you classy Falcon Punch K.O.s, or may get you more punished than Roman rebellions. In either case, it's going to be amusing.
Wow, I just seem to have nearly opposite opinions compared to most viewers. It especially surprises me that people love to verse King K. Rool even though he has a ton of armour, decent recovery (vs most characters), projectiles and a mixture of survivability and a ton of cheese potential.
Easy, because he's really easy to punish. He tries to armour and fails? Easy punish. He's off stage and tries to do a basic recovery? Easy punish. Throws a bad projectile? Super easy punish. There's a reason why he's at the bottom of the tier list
@@tewyli01 you make a good point about K Rool being easier to punish than some characters. I don't fully agree with his recovery and projectiles being "easy" to punish but at least his ground moves fall in that category. I find that because I have to focus so much on whiffpunishing, I end up playing in a way that is really lame for both me and my opponent. Having to play super lame also amplifies how bad his survivability and cheese potential feel to me. Based on that I'm thinking the viewers on average might either have an absolutely insane punish game or perhaps they don't mind losing as long as they hit some combos.
@@phermion the fact that you think his recovery is good... try hitting him from the side when he tries to recover, see if it's still good, and no, you don't have to only punish him, you can run him down as well
@@tewyli01 it is pretty good both for a heavyweight and by distance covered, and it's a lot harder to spike K.Rool when he's using it bc he has a hitbox above him.
I am so suprised that Mii Gunner is not lower, and especially that she's a good bit above sword fighter when imo she camps so much harder and her ledgetrapping/edgeguarding being even lamer and more braindead than Samus.
21:31, this is what makes Guilty Gear Strive such a fun game to watch. 95% of rounds are less than a minute long, and someone’s always getting destroyed, you might get a perfect round one, but then the opponent can come back and get a perfect on you round two. But at the same time the defensive mechanics, especially guts which makes you take less damage the less health you have leaves enough room for some insane comebacks.
That’s the thing, if the Smash devs wanted to make the game more competitive they probably could implement something like this, but sadly they just don’t. Smash is stuck in this limbo between competitive fighting game and family party game. But for sure games like GG 100% have the right strategy, just wish Smash could follow suit :/
It's also why the game is ass to play compared to the older games such as Xrd. Everyone loves a spectators sport until it's time to play and you have to deal with the consequences of an unstable game. I love strive but it's high damage and hyper aggressive gameplay are it's weakest parts.
@@RegalBlobProblem is that Smash is fundamentally not designed to be a purely competitive game. Even Melee is very much a game where they ignore a lot of stuff in the game to make the competitive scene thrive. There's a reason the vast majority of the smash clone games that focus almost exclusively on competitive play fail tremendously. "Omg huge combos are so great and cool and hype," until you overtune shit so touch of death combos happen out the ass. People ill educated about Melee for example will think Melee is a game about these giant ass combos and think that's the bread and butter of it so they lean super hard into that for various different Smash clones, but in reality Melee is so fast paced because its combos result in a lot of DI reads, there was more hitstun but DI was also more powerful, leading to a lot of DI mixups in one single combo that may change on the fly to accommodate it as well as a very robust neutral. The closest Smash has ever been to being super combo focused was 64 and this made 64 by and far away the most campy game in the series because you couldn't commit to anything without getting comboed to death, which is likely why they've never done anything even remotely on that level again, because it just isn't a good fit for the formula. It's also worth noting that listening to Smash players for game design choices is generally a bad idea. More than any other fighting game out there, Smash has a shit ton of people who bitch and moan about literally everything and if they listened to those people when making we'd have a game with zero fucking variety because every character would be unga bunga hold forward rushdown city. Every fighting game under the sun has different character archetypes, not having them is dooming your game to failure because it gives you an uninteresting homogenous roster. The difference is that most of them aren't huge ass manchildren like a lot of Smash players and understand this concept, even when it comes to character archetypes that aren't the most fun to fight.
One thing I wished you would have brought up at some point in this video is matchups and how they might play a part in how much players hate fighting a character. For example, I'm a Robin main, and Olimar is my least favorite character to play against. A big part of that is because Robin gets absolutely dumpstered on my Olimar. I wonder how many people have similar mindsets. Do Bowser players say they hate fighting Kazuyas and Sora more? Do Fox players have a particular gripe with Luigi? Do combo fiends like brawler players hate shulk more than most? Also the other way around, do puff players not hate min min at all since they can easily get around her attacks? I'd love to see something that looks more into that aspect.
Very interesting list, some aren't surprising of course (Min Min), but its always fascinating to see what people think of characters and they will be honest since its anonymous voting. Playing at top level, someone like Marth/Lucina can be very annoying to play against, because at a high level where you want to make as little mistakes as possible, Marcina allows you to have little to no weaknesses and good players won't be making many mistakes. Friendlies however, I couldn't think of a more enjoyable character to vs. Conversely, someone like Bayonetta may be stressful in bracket, but unlike a lot of overtuned characters in this game, she allows for some good counterplay even if the player is good that I can capitalize on, (sdi, landing lag, light etc). Where as in friendlies, she is super annoying because my thought process is off and I don't wish to sdi. Keen on more of these.
Surprising that Mac made it that high, given that the consensus counterplay is to run away half the time also Poppt: apparently people like playing against goofy looking characters Minecraft Steve:
I think what always interests me the most when I watch content like this is that it doesn't matter what platform fighter your are talking about, but people consistently despise any character that is either a "zoner" or a character that has the capacity to play passively. The reason why it always interest me is not because I am the weird kid at the table that enjoys playing against zoners, but that the platform fighter as a genre is in inherently absurdly defensive. If any platform fighter had Fortnite money not a single person would approach if they had a good lead even if it was a normally fast paced match up.
As a Sonic main, I can say that I definitely suck since I don’t take advantage of his moveset which encourages you to run away the moment you get a lead. I like to stay fighting the whole match, so it leads to me losing. Sonic should realistically be B tier, not S+.
For G&W he is obnoxious because, while he is light, he is borderline impossible to combo or edgeguard because up-b out of shield and is a frame 3 invincible escape option and unless you're like Yoshi or Falco, you can't chase him up there and punish him. But his up b is also very difficult to edge guard and he can even edge guard YOU with it. He can still act out of up B too. And the worst part is his down air is like one of the best stall and falls in the game that has basically no landing lag, has a decent hitbox on sour spot and can even spike at the beginning. D-air is at least punishable from the side while he's falling, if you're quick enough and have a disjoint. On top of that, he just has tools for every situation, he's got a reflector that also doubles as an extremely powerful invincible frame 2 move that kills at like 40, in certain matchups. All of his smash attacks are broken having very little end lag. Like his least good one, F-smash is still a solid kill move, and his up smash is invincible from above during the animation and has little end lag. And Down Smash is a absurdly disjointed (I swear the hit box is like half a character length further than the animation would suggest) has little end lag, can kill on sour spot and if he gets the sweet spot with the bury its prettt much a guaranteed kill at like 80. His aerials are all insanely good, upair and nair basically makes being above G&W a no man's land and are really good at sharking the platforms and juggling you forever, unless you go to ledge. In which case his neutral special or down smash or forward air or even back air will be very oppressive ledge trapping tools to make sure you are never getting back in easily. His side special, which also has some true combos in to, can also just decied you lose and kill you at like 30%. Character is absurdly busted and you have to play so incredibly careful and patient against him since you pretty much have to just win neutral and get stray hits over and over again since you can't combo him and he can just escape for free in most situations. He's not AS bad to fight in person (one of my irl friends who is pretty good co-mains him), but on wifi (which I imagine is where most of the data stems from) it just feels completely unplayable most of the time. All that said. I hate the character not the players. G&W mains are just doing what they gotta do to win and G&W is a pretty good choice if you want to win.
Toon Link barely avoiding making it into the top 20 most hated AND beating Young Link by 10 spots, you love to see it. Looks like my best rated mains are Byleth at #18, and Pit, who shares the #20 spot with Dark Pit and... Ikecina???
Donkey Kong is the poster child of characters in Ultimate who are easy to play, fun to play, and fun to play against. If you get rocked by one, it’s still enjoyable. Donkey Kong dittos are by far some of the most fun matches in the game alongside Ganon dittos. Playing as Donkey Kong by far is more enjoyable than some of my legit favorite characters (like Sonic, but I still enjoy playing him) because you can get those big hits in and take a lot of hits. Though the downsides to playing him are getting edgeguarded at 0 and not being able to recover…
if there's one thing I don't like about fighting a DK, it's the excessive cargo throw and headbutt, because most people would agree with me that they hate moves which forces us to mash in any way shape or form.
You gotta remember that this had a lot of casual play input as well. The controversy was only really about how annoying Hero is in a competitive situation, but casually they are one of the most fun characters.
Snake being heavy was a mistake they forgot to fix in Brawl. He just feels heavy because of his gravity. I think he just meant that Ridley is lighter than you think.
Makes me sad that people like fighting Palutena more than MegaMan. I understand MegaMan can be annoying, but one should give credit to MegaMan players since its hard to learn how to play and unlike Palutena, MegaMan can be hype. Don't believe me? Look up Yumegaman. Trust me, MegaMan can be an interesting character if you're willing to give him a chance
Mega Man definitely requires more skill to play, but I think Palu got rated higher because it's easier knowing what she'll be going for in more scenarios, making her a bit "easier" to fight. Whether you enjoy or hate running into flow-charty kinds of characters is gonna vary from person to person, and considering how most of the top 10 boils down to "I like fighting this character because my character beats them", most of the people that filled this out seem to value how much easier they are to fight than if the character themselves require technical skill.

Why would you feel degenerate? As another Ridley main, I fully endorse the fact that he is a very honest character to play against. There is pretty much no bullshit with Ridley, if you lost against him, it’s your own fault, you can’t blame some DLC gimmick, lame ass zoning or overbearing options like G&W has. That’s why lower tier characters command respect.
I got excited when I saw Captain Falcon on screen while we were still in the bottom rankings, because the masses might actually agree with me on something, but then it zoomed out to reveal Olimar
I’m surprised Terry was near the middle. I personally love playing him and don’t find the extremely rare online Terry to be that annoying I find his moves and voice lines to be extremely funny, like “are you ok? BUSTERWOLF”. To me he’s like Incin, where his moves are just so cool and flashy
i don't have a switch so i can never play smash on my own, only against my friends. and they vary drastically in skill, some of them just spam op moves while others actually play the game, and that has shaped what i think about most of the characters. and this comes from someone who mains G&W and Little Mac, so you can imagine what bullshit was afoot
Good Ganondorf and Falcon players make for some very exciting matches to spectate, and having access to Warlock/Falcon Punch to put an exclamation point on a stock generates all kinds of hype.
I'm genuinely shocked Ness and Lucas weren't lower, actually I was expecting them to be closer to the bottom 10. Especially in non competitive play people LOVE spamming PK Fire on Ness and PK Freeze on Lucas.
The kinds of people who can't deal with Ness and Lucas are casuals and they've all stopped playing the game by now. Ness hate is common at the start of every Smash game then his relevance falls off a cliff because he has no range and a terrible recovery.
It’s fun to play against characters that have to approach you, but it sucks to play against characters that camp you. But sometimes even characters that have to approach you, camp you, because you are winning or because you’re comboing them too hard.
The fact that you didn't have a question on the player's perceived experience level really disappoints me. Do some research on formulating a survey for next time.
This is honestly something I would like to see not only in smash bros but in game development in general. To not only think about how it is to play as, but alsi how to play against something. Be it in an multiplayer or single player game.
I don't know about min min being brainless, as you can actually have it so you have to be precise sometimes and I mean very precise when the opponent is actually good at the game because anytime It's mindless spamming on min min for me, I just fucking die because my opponent. It's like the other 4 characters I main, they all can be absolutely broken but are difficult to master. Think of playing min min against a skilled player like playing marth; add discipline, plus timing, and a little bit of paitience, and nobody is ever beating you. Also to be honest, min min feels more punishable on camping when as you have to be careful on camping and rely on smart punishes to kill. And to be honest, though most people I fight that I talk to about fighting my min min beat me, surprisingly they actually like how I play min min. Doesn't matter if everyone hates her for me though because I'm never fighting a min min because no one ever plays min mim :(. So I can't give an opinion on fighting min min for all min mins. But from one min min I fought named gamz, fun fact: if you're smart about your recovery, then min min's edge guarding can be near useless as most min mins are pretty im paitient.
Also I just don't like camping which helps a bit when the characters I play tend to be able to play a camping play style but I end up playing the hard way of trying to play the technical and high execution style: for example, I main Marth and Lucario, one requires precision and timing and the other requires heavy focus.
There are honestly a lot of characters that I personally don't like playing against that it was hard to narrow it down to just 1 I hated to play against the most
4:45 I wouldn't really want them to outright delete Min-Min. In my opinion, Steve is a lot more egregious and no one is saying that he should be out. ARMS definitely deserves to be represented in Smash as one of Nintendo's few modern flagship franchises, especially since the Arms world is so rich with lore and character. If it really is Min-Min specifically, replace her with Twintelle idc.
Any ARMS character would be terrible to play as and fight against in Smash. Just having two large, disjointed hitboxes that you can easily mash and don't have much move variety outside of that creates some of the most annoying characters in the series.
Ganondorf is my main and always fun to play with. He feels like a miniboss where if you don't exploit his weakness, you die in 5 hits. That’s always fun IMO.
to be fair, I feel like there's a stigma placed on sonic by the players purely because of the few times players DO camp with him when there's actually a lot of sick things people do with him.
For me its Min Min, Olimar, Rosalina, and Ice Climbers. Min Min is Min Min And the rest have either Luma, Nana, or an army of bastards that block my Gordo! I am a Dedede/Pichu/Mario player.
I thought Luigi would be lower considering how he has a habit of easily cheesing you with his fancy combos and up b that easily kills you if you make a mistake. I think there's also the fact that he can use down b to escape combos.
@@qoughitup Dude, do you have any idea how unsafe both of those moves are? That’s a main characteristic with Ridley, lots of his moves hurt if they land, but they have a long startup, making them easy to anticipate and leave you wide open if you miss. There’s a reason his down b is considered one of the worst moves in the game, you only go for it if you feel cocky enough to show off, but it’s still a bad move at its core. Characters like Steve are riddled with cheese, it’s not the same. The only cheesy option I can think of for Ridley is grabbing an opponent off stage with side b and dragging them down with you. That’s pretty much it.
I like how people hate Sora for being "campy," when he isn't remotely campy, lol Like yeah being basically impossible to edgeguard is fucking obnoxious, but Sora is seldom played in a campy fashion (instead favoring his combo game,) because Sora straight up isn't good when played campy. What the fuck is people's definition of "campy?" Because Sora doesn't have a terribly strong projectile, he's not super fast, his burst movement is limited. It feels like people's definition of "campy" is just any character who doesn't blindly hold forward 90% of the time, it's the same thing as people calling R.O.B. a zoner
He's definitely not that campy. But whenever I fight him and I get caught in one of his combo's I get war-time flashbacks to the sunset years of Smash4 where I'm getting combod into oblivion by Bayonetta.
I play a few characters at my tournament. I play a lot of snake and Diddy and GnW. But my two other characters are min min and ganon... I'm such a mess
Welcome, please have a seat. Your friends and family are concerned about you. They love you and want what's best for you, and they worry about your choice in mains. Please attend min min rehab, and find a nicer main like Dedede, or Mewtwo. We're all on your side, and hope you make good decisions 😔
@jerotoro2021 i-i fear I am in too deep, every time I try to f smash as someone else, I end up doing a side b, my nairs are neutral specials, I cannot escape her
I despise you. I don't know you personally, and I don't want to know you honestly . All I know is that I despise you, just as much as your main. Please delete smash from your switch, and go enjoy a better life.
Ice Climbers are definitely in my bottom 10. I've played my fair share of tournament matches, and they're one of the only characters I've felt truly hopeless against. Obviously it's much easier once you get in advantage state, and especially after killing Nana, but until then they put up a brick wall that's extremely hard to break down and murders you for failing.
Min Min Is a character that only uses proyectiles, and the only character who's proyectiles don't behave like proyectiles (Aka can't be reflected, absorbed, being destroyed by being hit, etc.). She breaks the rules of the game and I think that's why she is so annoying.
@@ThisAintGood. Indeed so you can't even outzone her. It's not a great reflector, it takes time and it's only grounded, but given that she keeps you at such a long distance most of the time she has time to act as well.
Because she's fine. Just neutral airdodge. She's a matchup check, and only hard counters a couple of characters. You can also clash with her arms. It's why sheik does so good in the MU
@@aidenvega6306 do you wonder if that’s the reason you might be defending her playstyle? I’m fine with people playing annoying characters (I play mii swordfighter) but sometimes you just gotta admit your character is annoying and play them anyways than try to convince them to change their opinion. Sometimes people think their main is less annoying than they actually are.
@@SirBiscuitman to make it worst they have already done long ranged figthers before like the Belmonts and guess what? They are balanced, heck even sephiroth was even affected with things like "Long ranged up air BUT with a lot of start up lag and longest end lag in the game"
As a Marth main I feel quite happy about my character being top 10 in something haha. It's a rough go for us sometimes. I honestly think he's not as bad as usually ranked but am constantly cursed by what can only be described as about face (bair) having such a janky hit box it hardly works half the time.
Ironically enough, my friends preffer playing against my Sonic over playing against my Dedede. Probably because i never really use spindash/charge and play fairly aggressive with Sonic instead of running away the whole match. Meanwhile Dedede takes stocks really early and tends to be surprisingly tough to kill due to his high weight and having way better recovery then most heavies.
Why is Falcon that high bro. Up B mashers, Up smash mashers, and random down B and side b mashers are way to common online. He is fun to play against but top three is stretching it.
Yeah Falcon is insanely lame to play against. He plays the same since smash 64 and people still pretend they are hype after landing up air knee every match. Falcon isnt hype since brawl and I'm tired of pretending he is.
Falcon being hype is just a title that makes it so that whenever the same combo happens, commentators are contractually obligated to scream at the top of their lungs like they won the lottery
@@puchkix2276 Nothing wrong with correcting someone, but only do so if you are right. You arent. Captain Falcon is in smash 64, he is part of the original 12. And yes, he played to same in that game as in every other game, instead he used Falcon Punch instead of Knee (because knee wasnt in the game) Tldr: L+Ratio + you're wrong
Falcon is the most fake hype character in the franchise and he always has been lmao He's extremely hold forward and unga bunga, with a lot of very samey easy bake combos that people for some reason pretend is hype and pop off over. Even Melee, (the coolest falcon) is still significantly less cool than a lot of the good characters in that game.
I find it interesting how the Top 10 most hated in your video are some of the characters that I like to play against the most. Only 2 of those do I not like playing against (G&W, Zelda). Most of my hated characters are all scattered throughout 11-75.

Poppt should work for Nintendo with this optimal research and help them develop the next Smash Bros game

this is not good though, nintendo's already got a data collection team that has much more accurate data, with a much larger sample size , in one of their youtube videos, Sakurai explained that they had a lot of data collected on smash, and could use it for balance, for instance, there is barely any gap between the win loss ratio of every character, I believe the key stat was that the character with the worst win loss ratio (name not given in the video) was only under the highest win/loss ratio character by 1.8%

Min-Min being the official #1 hated character only makes me want to play her even more, and I'm already a dedicated min min main
19:30 spoiled the top 2
Yea, unfortunately the editing was pretty sloppy in this video. Not saying it to be rude, there was just a lot of noticeable mistakes. There was that, Lucina having a picture of Ike, and there was a moment when there was a silhouette that showed it was DK under it at the last second (which didn't seem intentional).
There are so many editing mistakes in the video, from numbers not matching what the voice is saying to blurs not remaining blur all the way, this video needs more time in the oven

Fair game for Jack Skellington
The sound of death goes, “KLANK!”

I am so suprised that Mii Gunner is not lower, and especially that she's a good bit above sword fighter when imo she camps so much harder and her ledgetrapping/edgeguarding being even lamer and more braindead than Samus.
Yup lol and sometimes some mii gunners have that side b, flame pillar that combos into charge shot! And that infinite reflector!
An actual egg!
Almost any fighting game Arcsystemworks develops is tons more fun.
These voters seem to not have played against mii gunner online much
I hate fighting that character with my main, but I love whipping out Wolf and making them seethe
Literal torture
The stat break down is what I live for. Seeing into the mind of other people is so interesting.
TBF, in Sonic's defense, Sakurai did him dirty by making half his specials Spin Dash-
Very interesting list, some aren't surprising of course (Min Min), but its always fascinating to see what people think of characters and they will be honest since its anonymous voting.

People must love watching gordo spam for some stupid reason
The smash community is dead to me. Why can't everyone gets equal love. I'm not gonna be happy until everyone gets more love
That's not how anything works.
I'll never understand the Smash community's infatuation with heavy characters
self inserts. they relate with them
Im astonished how high hero is. Especially considering how controversial he was on his release.
You gotta remember that this had a lot of casual play input as well. The controversy was only really about how annoying Hero is in a competitive situation, but casually they are one of the most fun characters.

Mega Man is a great example of a character that was adapted too faithfully

As a Dark Samus main, she is simple but people oversimplify her. Just here to say.

Please dont tell me he said Ryu and Ken are echo fighters smh
It also feels ironic how dedede which is my least favorite character to fight, and K rool which is the second least favorite are in top 10
I have one character I main in the pits of hell (min mim) then two other mains in top 10 (Dr.mario and marth)

If it really is Min-Min specifically, replace her with Twintelle idc.
Any ARMS character would be terrible to play as and fight against in Smash. Just having two large, disjointed hitboxes that you can easily mash and don't have much move variety outside of that creates some of the most annoying characters in the series.
Dr.Mario is pretty sigma, he lets you play against a slower, less cheesy Mario, and gives you free medicine
Ganondorf is my main and always fun to play with. He feels like a miniboss where if you don't exploit his weakness, you die in 5 hits. That’s always fun IMO.
Cloud is my least favorite to play against. Mirror matches suck.
14:27 I sure do wonder who it could be
to be fair, I feel like there's a stigma placed on sonic by the players purely because of the few times players DO camp with him when there's actually a lot of sick things people do with him.
my least favorite 3 are pikachu, pichu, and ice climbers. the first 2 are literally impossible to hit and i always somehow only hit the second climber
Roy player?
@@agustinspiegel4313 nope
As a Pichu main, yeah I’m annoying as shit 😭
For me its Min Min, Olimar, Rosalina, and Ice Climbers.
Min Min is Min Min
And the rest have either Luma, Nana, or an army of bastards that block my Gordo!
I am a Dedede/Pichu/Mario player.
I thought Luigi would be lower considering how he has a habit of easily cheesing you with his fancy combos and up b that easily kills you if you make a mistake. I think there's also the fact that he can use down b to escape combos.
Shoutout the gals and user-specified pals 💜
Saying Ridley doesn't have a lot of cheese is WIILD
He indeed has next to no cheese, idk what you’re on about.
@@pouchnouboutdown b that puts you in kill range from 0 and a down smash that covers half the stage… sure yeah no cheese at all
@@qoughitup Dude, do you have any idea how unsafe both of those moves are? That’s a main characteristic with Ridley, lots of his moves hurt if they land, but they have a long startup, making them easy to anticipate and leave you wide open if you miss. There’s a reason his down b is considered one of the worst moves in the game, you only go for it if you feel cocky enough to show off, but it’s still a bad move at its core. Characters like Steve are riddled with cheese, it’s not the same.
The only cheesy option I can think of for Ridley is grabbing an opponent off stage with side b and dragging them down with you. That’s pretty much it.
10:51 That’s not Lucina
That explains why I couldn't see her on the list. I didn't notice the 2 Ikes.
I like how people hate Sora for being "campy," when he isn't remotely campy, lol
Like yeah being basically impossible to edgeguard is fucking obnoxious, but Sora is seldom played in a campy fashion (instead favoring his combo game,) because Sora straight up isn't good when played campy.
13:55 "average of 2.96" show 2.85 on screen xD
I play a few characters at my tournament. I play a lot of snake and Diddy and GnW. But my two other characters are min min and ganon... I'm such a mess
As a min min player, I believe my character is epic and swag
@@Swagatron2 You know what?
Good for you bud
@@ThisAintGood. Thanks, I will continue to be the lamest most boring player in existence
She can also use her kicks which are solid attacks, if a Min Min player uses almost exclusively her arms then that's the sign of a bad player.
On top of that, she has a reflector. I know that it’s a reference, but they should know a character like Min Min just shouldn’t have that
@@ThisAintGood. Indeed so you can't even outzone her. It's not a great reflector, it takes time and it's only grounded, but given that she keeps you at such a long distance most of the time she has time to act as well.
21:18 How has he been bottom in every game since melee!? I feel bad for Ganon mains...
He was a lower mid-tier in Melee. Still not good, but way better than what he would become in later entries.
We know no mercy.
I hate fighting Mario because bridge and ladder combos
I'll take pride in my #64 and #68 placings
Someone's gotta be the one to spam PK Fire 🔥
How did sakurai saw Min Min and said "yeah i see no problem here totally not annoying"
Because she's fine. Just neutral airdodge. She's a matchup check, and only hard counters a couple of characters. You can also clash with her arms. It's why sheik does so good in the MU
@@aidenvega6306you do realize min min can just catch the airdodge right? The entire cast can do it and min min can do it from half screen away
@SirBiscuitman yup. Because I play min min
14:20 hmm, I wonder who it could be
As a Marth main I feel quite happy about my character being top 10 in something haha. It's a rough go for us sometimes. I honestly think he's not as bad as usually ranked but am constantly cursed by what can only be described as about face (bair) having such a janky hit box it hardly works half the time.
Wow, looking at that thumbnail, I have NO idea what "The Statistically Most HATED Smash Character" is.
Surprisingly, he isn't
Min min being #1 is def a skill issue… idk just get close min min only works from afar so closee the gap with aireals
1:13 Cloud because every Cloud player has a single dig
I wonder how that sentence was going to end?
DK ON TOP BABY
@@Its_MattieHe wasn’t in Smash 64
@@puchkix2276 Nothing wrong with correcting someone, but only do so if you are right. You arent.
Captain Falcon is in smash 64, he is part of the original 12.
And yes, he played to same in that game as in every other game, instead he used Falcon Punch instead of Knee (because knee wasnt in the game)
Tldr: L+Ratio + you're wrong
Falcon is the most fake hype character in the franchise and he always has been lmao
He's extremely hold forward and unga bunga, with a lot of very samey easy bake combos that people for some reason pretend is hype and pop off over.
So... am I the only one who absolutely HATE fighting Donkey Kong? He is fun to play, though.
Online DKs are the bane of my existence
