This video is about my first semester at the George Washington University, prior to the transition to classes being fully online. In the past videos, I mentioned “Why GWU?” “Does GW fulfill my expectation?” “Dorm life” and “My college essay”, “is my college stressful?”in case you are interested. Overall, the George Washington University is good at liberal, political majors and is known for its Journalism, international affairs, political science, public health the most. GWU is located in Foggy Bottom, DC. Its geographical advantage on internships and job opportunities are two bonus benefits to be consider by applicants and parents. The George Washington University also has been SAT optional prior to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. Although GWU is known for its liberal arts major in particular, its president, Thomas LeBlanc, has risen the emphasis on STEM education in recent years. GWU is a city school that can have some solid college life in the city (museums, internships, concerts, bars) but also lacking the typical school sprit that you will find in a traditional college campus, despite being a D1 school on athletics. Most importantly, it’s to decide based on your prospective majors to see whether GWU is a good fit.

how difficult are the basic hebrew courses?
Tor Lansing, Hi ! having to learn English and basic Spanish in the past, I think Hebrew is much harder than these two languages. First, it has its unique alphabet that have print and script version. They can look completely different. So you would have to memorize basically two alphabets and make connection with the print and script version. Second, reading Hebrew starts from right to left, which is the exact opposite of most languages nowadays. Third, grammar is similar to Spanish but in a more complicated way that there are mascullar and feminist tense. Lastly, Hebrew is a little bit easier in terms of pronunciation than Spanish or French, because there is no retroflex. The course that being offered at GWU is manageable as long as you put the effort and work into it. The Hebrew professors are really nice and understanding. Hope this answer your question !
