I have been watching your videos this morning with great interest. I'm a former fly fisher of 20 years and have had the misfortune to have had jobs / locations in my life that have put my beloved hobby on the back burner for the past 12 years. I still have all my stuff and am looking forward to getting back into it I hope the summer. Watching your videos has been helping me refresh up on my casts and techniques. I'm a former fly fisher of Yukon Territories Canada for many a year. Now live in Maryland USA. Scott 8 wt.4pc ~ Lamson reel I have forgotten who made this one. 7 wt ROD 2 pc. ~ JW Young & Son 1500 Series. Thank you again for lighting the spirit in me to get back out there and enjoy the cast. You are doing the ff hobby a great service.
Great video! But you forgot the number one wind cast! We use it with the 50mph gale force winds on the plains...stand with back to wind and simply flip the fly into the air the wind will push your line across the entire river :)
like the video BUT cant beleive after first thing the guy mentioned was SAFETY and then there he is casting away with NO SUN GLASSES ON ! , I made that mistake ONCE and got a hook imbeded about 1/2" from my eye ...NEVER again ALWAYS wear glasses !!!!!!!!

Ha, thanks Tom. Delighted to be able help, and even happier that you've decided to get into fly fishing - watch out, it's a disease.
Very Helpfull Video !!!!! Nice Work Guys, look forward to your next upload, Tight lines from the sometimes very windy UK

Great video and info, best on the web, thanks for showing.
Possible, certainly. Likely just a little more challenging given that you will be sitting & closer to the water. A longer rod can help compensate
Well done, short and sweet, and spot-on!
you guys are simply the best! thx.
He makes it look easy especially considering there's no wind. Can you show me how to cast crosswind ?
Thanks, I show how to cope with a crosswind toward the end of the clip.
