I would love that actually! For Lucy to meet Tim's mom and learn more about him from her and fall in love with him all over again from the stories his mom tells. Respectfully though.
I hop so too, but after all Eric is saying, it just depends on the showrunner and producers idea, in which way the show and this broken relationship will go. We have to wait and see, but I hope for a new good and nice relation between Lucy and Tim again, in which way ever.
I want to see Eric's vision for Chenford and about his mom and sister. I want to see Lucy bond with the other two important women in his life. That would be beautiful to watch.

Biological father Lucy didn't die and Tim found out the truth, got new name & life.. reunite Lucy & her father because Lucy need know about him..
This isn't the end he says work to earn her trust back, tells us they will get back together but not immediately and when they so it will be more solid

As much as I want Chenford back together. I respect the steps they are taking. The reality of these breaks ups and peoples past and struggles coming to surface. I respect Tim choosing to take a step back and find himself and better himself. Lucy is a badass and deserves to really explore her career goals but also be loved the way she should be.
Thank you so much for this!! They better get back together instead of dating others like Ross and Rachel to create more drama. Else I will stop watching.
The writers will probable tease us with classic "will they/won't they" thing to keep the viewers engaged, maybe throw some rebounds in the mix too

Its nice of him to be hopeful but I would love for Lucy to make him work for her if he ever wants to pursue her again. She’s always been open and supportive with him and I just feel breaking up in a parking lot was very immature of him. Lucy’s character in the first season made a sacrifice to not date in the workplace so it took a lot for her to be open and trust that she would not be seen in such a way even worse it was her TO. I understand he needs to work on himself and I hope he does but as a fan I would have loved to see a mature conversation if he felt that way. I would love for Lucy to be independent and go back to loving her job and take on her UC work and make him work for her
100% agree. Tim need work hard get the trust, love for Lucy. Lucy need understanding Tim not hate him but be there for him.
Well about Tim's family mother & sister Jenny kids around Auncle Tim , they calling Lucy Aunty because she never had a sibling, well Jenny & Lucy have sibling connections ...😂

The scenes of them together that he mentioned were really great but one of my favorite episodes was Jenny’s forced ride along. His sister describing him as slim shady for the prom and Tim frantically trying to make the conversation go away 😂. THAT was actual sibling footage 😂😂. Circa 1963-My family lived in a rental house with small farms surrounding it for a couple years. My brother caught the field next to our home on fire one spring burning trash that he wandered off from 😂. I try to add that little fact into all conversations 😂😂😂😂. So I’m in love with The Jenny Tales 😂.

LOVED this show but couldn’t watch season 5, the camera movements were vomit inducing for someone who suffers from motion sickness. I was so sad.

Lucy Tim needs to be together thay make the show
The good news are that once the crazy chenford fans drop the show, the writers will see the real ratings and hopefully do something to improve the plot. Or the show will get cancelled after season 7. The Rookie jumped the shark after season 3-ish.
I love Chenford but I agree with you. Season 6 was as bad as these parts in season 4 with Simone. They should make the whole show interesting again.

His father was dying in I think season 4.

It was never mentioned but it would not be logic if his mum Shows up in season 7 after all he has been through if they'd have a good relationship...
My take from his interview is it's over for Chenford as a couple. He only focused on their friendship and being colleagues, I think Eric/Tim has already friend zoned her. Move on Lucy, you really deserve so much better. I watched the Rookie for 5 seasons, but now I'm out won't watch again.
I totally agree with this, in one interview it was actually his idea to have the break up. He needs a new love interest cause Lucy is too kind and gives up a lot of herself and he has so many issues with her being undercover so it’s better for her to live out her dreams and him to do the same.
