Hi Doc, great video! Any advice on propagating ornamental crabapple trees from cuttings? I have some crossing branches that I think would work nicely.

I had to pull out my Dr Dirr book. It says take cuttings in May-June, 4-6" long, 2500-1000 ppm rooting solution, use perlite/peat mix under mist. Commercial success rate of 80-100%.

I have a Camellia Japonica that I planted last Spring. It has grown a little and I was excited to see lots of bulbs early in the year. Then, all bulbs were gone and I had no blooms. Could a freeze have done this? Should I have covered the bush if I saw it was going to freeze or would that have helped?
    Really enjoy your videos

Mary, good to hear from you again. Yes, that really cold snap we had this winter burned off a lot of the camellia flower buds. That's the one downfall we have in North Alabama and camellia. If it gets below 25*ish it is really hard on the flower buds if they are not covered.

@@Dr.Warren, thank you. I’ll plan to cover it in the future when a cold blast comes. 👍
