- In this video, Dallas is getting new eyeglasses from Eye Boutique. She had her current eyeglasses for many years and it was time to get a new pair with a new prescription. We really enjoyed picking out her new eyeglasses and it was definitely a hard decision with all the cute designs.

As a former optician, I'm now retired, I kept wondering where the optician or optical assistant was the whole time Dallas was trying on frames. Leaving you alone so she could pick out the frame she liked was fine, but someone should have given you a tray to put the frames you were considering in rather than keeping them on her lap. One thing I was surprised about was reading in your bio that she had been wearing her current glasses for many years. That's really a good thing because that means her eyesight must not have changed much in that time. Usually when someone her age gets glasses their prescription tends to increase from year to year. From what I was able to see Dallas appears to be farsighted and the fact that she hasn't needed her glasses until now is a sign that as she gets older it's possible her prescription may decrease maybe even to the point of her not needing glasses at some point. What has her optometrist said about her eyesight in that regard?
As I was watching Dallas trying on frames I thought everyone she tried on looked perfect on her. So I totally agree with you that every frame would be perfect on her. The optician did do her job well by pointing out that the frame Dallas liked was too small for her. So any growth would make them even tighter on her face. The pair she liked that you thought might be too large for her I could see that her eyes were dead centered in the lenses. That's one way of knowing if a frame is too large or not. Remember the frames on display all can be adjusted to make them fit in length better. Just curious if her sister isn't a little jealous of Dallas for wearing glasses and maybe wishes she needed glasses also? That seems to happen quite often. When you got Dallas's eyes checked, did you also get her eyes checked as well? And what about your eyes mom? I didn't see you wearing glasses but when you got your daughter's eyes checked did you also get your eyes checked? You know that everyone should get their eyes checked at least every other year and now ophthalmologist are suggesting that anyone that spends more than 40 hours a week with their eyes looking at screens should be getting yearly eye exams. By screens that includes not only your computer screens but also your phone and TV.
