Greg owned Crosstown Studios in Memphis in the late 80's and 90's. Like many people, we did sessions here and I still remember him being a great individual and Christian. At that time, I was living a very dark life and Greg made a great impression on me. I surrendered to Jesus in 1994, and began to live, for the first time in my life.
    God bless you Greg

Greg is a rock. I've admired him since I saw a Pat McLaughlin show at 3rd and Lindsley back in 08. To me he is the quintessential musical drummer, a Ringo Star of Nashville, always playing what works, smart enough to know when the softest texture is called for. One of these days I'm going to get an introduction to him and we'll probably talk for hours.

Anyone lucky enough to get to make music with Greg is lucky indeed. I’m grateful.

What a great interview! I'm a guitar player but it sure is fascinating to hear a drummer's perspective! Listening to Greg describe attack and how you can choke the life out of any instrument. I learned this as well. Miking gain hotter and hitting the instrument softer yields more tone.
