I know it’s only one preseason game but the Bills offensive line and defensive line were terrible. The Bills couldn’t run the ball a foot on critical downs. Need some dramatic improvement.
Oliver and Jones basically didn't play.

I'm a Bears fan, but even I was like "no, Josh! Get down!!!!". No one wants to see such a great player take a hit in the preason😅. Glad no injuries happened (as far as i know).
Last year's Steelers preseason game was pretty terrible too. I hate preseason football
Keon Coleman saved Trubisky from an interception and it honestly gave me more hope for what sort of player he will be then his catch. The way he transitioned to defender when he saw the bad pass was elite play and if he consistently does that Allen will risk more redzone 50/50 to him. Shakir and Curtis were terrific in their small sample. Definitely will need improve play on both sides of ball, but no alarm needed.
I’m not super familiar with the in depth rules of football but wasn’t that technically an offensive pass interference?
I was at the game, and highly highly disppointed with the games outcome. Not really just about the score but how often we got a penalty. How bad the offense looked all over. The whole team looked awful.

I agree with being tired of the defense giving up third and longs. With how good McDs defenses are it makes no sense with how that trend has continued to last.
What this game showed is just how bad our starters and depth is compared to other years, especially on defense
? That’s a funny post. It’s the preseason. Plus the bills defense is actually great other than at safety. They are basically stacked everywhere. Milano didn’t even play. If he was out there maybe I would worry a tiny bit.
@@Ray-dl5mp I know it's the preseason and we usually win...like 5 times straight going into the game. I don't give a shit about the results but that's not a pattern by accident. When you have all around good depth you usually win these games with no game planning, or at least show up, but all levels of our depth chart got their ass kicked today. Our lines got pushed around on both sides. You didn't need this game in the first place to see that our team is thinner then previous years. We replaced many starters with their previous backup, so what's that say for their backups. This team didn't act like they wanted to be there in the first preseason game
@@billsfever I know but a decent amount of starters don’t play in these games now or hardly play. Yes you could make the depth argument. I just don’t think it’s the same thing when you don’t have the starters playing and guys filling in. And it’s not like it doesn’t matter when Oliver goes out early, Von and Milano didn’t play at all (or they didn’t show up in the stats for the game if they did play). Those are our best physical specimens in theory. But I see your point. This is the classic wait and see thing. If they get pushed around every preseason game maybe it’s a cause for concern.

It’s showed that teams that don’t have college training camp sites come out ready to play splash mouth NFL football. The Bears ended that type of camp 2 seasons ago. And it’s a huge difference

As Bills fan, I agree I know this is preseason and I shouldn't overreact, but bills suck, almost as bad as those horrendous jerseys, God forbid Allen gets injured and have to miss some time, bills season would really be over, don't see them making playoffs, as a organization why would you bring back trubisky as your backup, out of all the other backups whom they could've signed, they bring back a guy who showed absolutely no things you could hang your hat on, I see them getting swept by jets, dolphins, splitting with patriots, ultimately missing playoffs, fire McDermott, he's not the guy for this team
O Line looked terrible. We really miss Mitch Morse. Cook- 2 yards in 4 attempts. Davis- 2 yards in 5 attempts. Will we look back on the McDermott era and say Josh Allen was wasted???????
Man I no it’s just preseason, and we got younger with not a lot of salary, but we still could be good. But my real concern is just what you said. Will we look back on McDermott and say we should’ve got rid of him. QB like Allen don’t come around often.

Best thing about it was it was 13-6 till the 4th quarter and by that time it was nothing but 3rd and 4th stringers

In my opinion, it wasn’t about the scheme. It was if they could beat the man on the other side of the ball to make a play. Especially in the trenches. They couldn’t push the defense around. On the other side, they couldn’t stop simple outside runs. No containment. Bears ran it down their throats. Penalties everywhere. Maybe it was because the Bears already played a game. They executed better. That MVS contract is the worst. 4 Void years for his sorry behind. Made no freaking sense. It’s only the preseason. Tell me how that worked out game one vs the Jets last year? They better get everything squared away before the season starts. I’m not panicking……….. much. 😩🤣

This has never been a team to out-physical anyone, especially on the d-line. A game here or there they can but usually they are getting worked over by the opponent until Josh puts the superman cape on.

Bears fan here. Don’t fret. You all have a good team. With Allen, Bills will always be a threat. But if he goes down, I hate to say it, but speaking from experience, with Trubisky, it will be a long season.

What stood out to me is that the Bears players wanted to make their team and maybe 3 want to make the Bills team.
The problem is they ran the same run play from the shotgun. The RB is handed the ball three yards deep behind the LOS with no momentum. Ridiculous.
It’s Ken Dorsey all over again. That 3rd and 1 on the opening drive was all I needed to see to dismiss everything Brady did last year.

When you stink it up early in preseason you find out what needs some change. Preseason is the time to make cuts and additions. I’m not worried.
It’s a preseason game, but they looked bad, I hope this is not going to be what we see with the penalty’s , because it was a problem last year.

Look at it this way there's only one way to go and that's up !! The whole point of the preseason especially the first one like today is to get some tape on guys so you can do a proper evaluation on who's going to actually make the team. Also escaping with no injuries is HUGE !!

Football’s back. It’s pre-season. I could care less about pre-season aside from just being able to see my team play and enjoying watching some individual efforts.
If josh looks left just know its either Goin that way or down the middle, the player's on the right side should just stand around
Had 25 different players on defense and 17 different receivers, not putting to much stock in it....
Also, never even game planned. They went into this scrimmage evaluating players and not really trying to prepare for the bears. Joe, are you Dan Marino's son??? It's preseason that they didn't game plan for. This guy is just another social media drama craving for likes. That's all.

I think it’s fine. We know we don’t have great depth this year. That’s where we took the biggest L overall. Plus we’re doing frank gore a solid with his son and we have a couple local guys that probably wouldn’t be on another team.

I’m not worried, these games are meant to show where they need work and there was a lot of issues for them to iron out during practice. I thought the starting defense did ok with what they could control in the situation, they created several 3rd and longs that the league just didn’t want to let become turn overs. They wanted williams on the field as long as they could have it
Buffalo cannot afford a slow given their tough schedule this season. They better find some form and momentum! Form does not switch off and on! HORRIBLE against a mediocre team!
I think you have a great voice for a channel like this. Sounds like you have a broadcasting background. My one critique is that you didn’t look at the camera once. It was unnerving to never see you make eye contact. I felt like you were talking to the invisible person next to me the whole time. I’d love to watch more, but that kinda drove me crazy lol
Chicago has a new Hall of Fame addition. Buffalo shows props in pre season scrimmage, but probably testing the water as usual.

Pre Season is a chance for coaches to
look at ones that are trying to make team. If it was regular starters played and lost I be concerned. Pre Season is one above practice… If Seasonal opener than we should be concerned…

You can say it's preseason and that they didn't game plan all you want, but the Bears didn't game plan either and they whooped our asses in the trenches. You can't ignore that.
Are this year's backup defensive tackles really better then last year's?
This loss isn’t as bad as it seems, for 1, the bears outscored the starters without Milano and Miller 6-0, after that they outscored the backups 27-6, buchele threw a pick 6 so the bears offense outscored them 21-6, 2 of those touchdowns were on short fields, one due to the wind blowing a punt, the other a pointless 4th down attempt failed. Even the penalties aren’t a huge deal as discipline is a relatively easy thing to coach. This loss means little to nothing for the bills
Did the wind have anything to do with the wild throws? I noticed the flags were showing the wind was bad and the announcers kept talking about it a lot.

Joe ...your getting softer in your analysis; like some of the others. I understand that may be to obtain the Bills favor for possible future endeavors. However, the team ABSOLUTELY STUNK and very little effort was made. Penalties were a killer and Shawn still has to get this under control. The defensive and offensive lines were absolute trash! The running backs with the exception of GORE Jr, stunk!!! The backup QB's absolutely stunk, and held the ball too long. The wide receivers minus Samuel and Shakur absolutely stunk. The 4th tight end is better than Morris and should have gotten more time. I'm removing every bet I placed for the Bills to go to the Super Bowl. Not with this MIDLING unit and not with this MIDLING Coach.

I used to think that one could get a general idea about the squads, some players, blah blah blah... not anymore. Year after year I saw the things that happened in preseason never come up again or never mattered. So... on to Pittsburgh! Go Bills!
As a Bears fan I had the same thought. This was our second pre-season game, which was a bit of advantage for our second and third stringers /rookies. I was just glad to see Caleb get his feet wet. I thought he was pretty good but it is just preseason. It doesn't mean a whole lot.
@@Agitator-vi9fr Well sure. An advantage for the team. Besides no matter what the coaches say they are not trying to win. They want to test out certain players. So they try and put the team in a position to have to use them. The basic strategy is way different but they can't really say that.

I generally don’t think much of a preseason game but they didn’t look motivated to play at all or be there. It’s super surprising the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, stringers are fighting for a job.

Brady and Babich were hyped up HARD all offseason by Bills media, but, honestly, I am not sold on either. It's like people forget just how awful Brady's offenses were in Carolina and how little experience Babich has calling plays.
As you said no lack of items to work on for the next game, the Steelers will punch everyone in the mouth so they better be ready. Remember last years pre season game. Also it looked like a little of the 90's teams pre season which they were terrible every year in.
