And the free agents they picked up are going to be an improvement in a pretty significant way too.

Maybe start out a little slow, but get things figured out and finish strong with a record of 9-8. I have been following your channel for a good chunk of the season and I really like your content but as a die hard Vikings fan for the last 30 years or so, this is my new favorite video.
As a Bears fan, if Caleb turns out really good and Jordan Love is really good and Jared Goff maintains his success with Detroit and if JJ McCarthy recovers nicely and is good, this division can be such a good division for a long time and the rivalry games will be back to being SNF or MNF every week they play because of the excitement.
There could very well be a transition from the AFC being the toughest conference to the NFC being the toughest conference if that happens. The NFC West has had a tough division and the East has a fairly tough division and I think both will only get tougher based off what I’m seeing (especially the NFC west). If you add the NFC North into the mix you’ll have 3 out of the 4 divisions beating the tar out of each other. You might end up seeing a return to NFC dominance like in the 80s and most of the 90s.
As a Lions fan, my Dad talked about how the NFC Central/North was the good ol' "Black and Blue Division". I'm legit excited for the possibility of that coming back!

If Caleb pans out and the offense is rolling we're definitely reaching Grossi's ceiling of 10-7. That being said, Grossi's floor is not unfounded. If Caleb sucks or goes down and things tear at the seams this ultimately won't be a great year and we'll feel like we're running in place. I think the Packers taking 5th seed and the Bears taking the 6th or 7th seed is fairly likely. Unfortunately for the Vikings I think they're on the outside looking in this year and this will have to be a bit of a rebuilding phase, especially since McCarthy is out for the year.
I know Bears fan are excited about Caleb but he is still a rookie and very few rookie QBs do well in their first year. Im not saying he will not be a good future QB but its a tough ask for his rookie year though

The Bears weren't a normal first pick team and they've built a team around him that any veteran would love to be in (two experienced WRs with a top draft third to grow with, an exceptional receiving TE and a solid RB trio. OL leave a bit to be desired but it's not the bottom of the league bad and the defense is top half of the league) plus a soft schedule to open the season. Not saying there won''t be a growth/adjustment curve, but he was the consensus #1 for a reason.

As a Lions fan I do worry about the Bears for sure and of course the Packers and Vikes until JJ went down. The North is looking like it could be the best division in football in a year or two.
I see 7-10 for the Vikings here and there as predictions. But I'm going to have the Vikings go 12-5 as Darnold plays better than expected AND Aaron Jones (and the running game) gets on-track. Oh and Brian Flores defense will also be better than expected (though the Cornerback position is still spotty at best; hope Gilmore can help)

I think the Lions ceiling should be 13-4. They got slightly better on the secondary, and would have won 13 games last year if the refs didn't screw them. (Not saying they will win that many, just that it is their ceiling.)
I think slightly better is a huge understatement. We added Arnold, Davis, Rakestraw, Robertson, Reader, and Davenport to the defense. I would put the ceiling at 14-3.

We also got a possible multi-pro bowl receiver and a reliable running back. I have been hoping for a while, but I really think that this year is the start of something new in chicago.

We are putting all of our eggs in the Caleb Williams basket, we never did anything this drastic for fields so logically I have higher expectations for Williams. If Caleb pans out and the offense is rolling we're definitely reaching Grossi's ceiling of 10-7. That being said, Grossi's floor is not unfounded. If Caleb sucks or goes down and things tear at the seams this ultimately won't be a great year and we'll feel like we're running in place.
I think the Packers taking 5th seed and the Bears taking the 6th or 7th seed is fairly likely. Unfortunately for the Vikings I think they're on the outside looking in this year and this will have to be a bit of a rebuilding phase, especially since McCarthy is out for the year.
I know Bears fan are excited about Caleb but he is still a rookie and very few rookie QBs do well in their first year. Im not saying he will not be a good future QB but its a tough ask for his rookie year though
@@T-bone9 Most rookie QBs are going into situations like Bryce Young did last year. The Bears weren't a normal first pick team and they've built a team around him that any veteran would love to be in (two experienced WRs with a top draft third to grow with, an exceptional receiving TE and a solid RB trio. OL leave a bit to be desired but it's not the bottom of the league bad and the defense is top half of the league) plus a soft schedule to open the season. Not saying there won''t be a growth/adjustment curve, but he was the consensus #1 for a reason.
@@Chiguy79 Yes, you are correct about the Bears being a better situation than Carolina for sure. Being #1 does not guarantee anything but I do think he will flourish, he has the skill set to succeed. As a Lions fan I do worry about the Bears for sure and of course the Packers and Vikes until JJ went down. The North is looking like it could be the best division in football in a year or two.

I think the Lions ceiling should be 13-4. They got slightly better on the secondary, and would have won 13 games last year if the refs didn't screw them. (Not saying they will win that many, just that it is their ceiling.)
I think slightly better is a huge understatement. We added Arnold, Davis, Rakestraw, Robertson, Reader, and Davenport to the defense. I would put the ceiling at 14-3.

@@rogue9ch bcuz I think Caleb is a better prospect and player than Justin fields. He has the same improvising ability as fields but with more poise and better in the clutch. We also got a possible multi-pro bowl receiver and a reliable running back. I have been hoping for a while, but I really think that this year is the start of something new in chicago.

The trade with Carolina set us up for the future starting this year, bcuz it gave us the #1 pick for this year, did nothing last year. I don't think you understand that our offense has been completely revamped. The receiver room looks nothing like it did when we were at a hapless 3 wins. We are putting all of our eggs in the Caleb Williams basket, we never did anything this drastic for fields so logically I have higher expectations for Williams. I agree with your part about green bay tho. I just think we have more reason to have faith since 1985.

I may be a Vikings fan but I desperately want the team to finish along the lines of 2-15 this year. Every team in the division has gotten better this off-season and with the injury to McCarthy I don't even care anymore about the season. Can we please just once go full tank mode so we end up with a Top 3 pick? None of this 7-10 bullshit just go out there and SUCK.
