  • The initial 250 model was powered by a 247cc air-cooled, single-cylinder OHV engine. Bore and stroke was 69 x 66mm and compression ratio was 7.2:1. Breathing through a 24mm Dell'Orto carburetor, the engine delivers 14 hp (10.4 kW) at 5,600 rpm. A primary gear transmission fed the 4-speed reducer power. The frame was MV's usual arrangement of a double cradle made of tubular and stamped steel. Telescopic front forks were fitted and wishbone with hydraulic shock absorbers at the rear. 200mm drum brakes were mounted front and rear. The car was finished in black with red details. Top speed was 115 km/h (72 mph).
