  • From "1.Outside", co-written with Brian Eno, wonderful version of rousing music, pounding rhythm, haunting and seductive.
Bowie/Prog-Rock: with an elaborate and spectacular sound, drum'n'bass, was also the precursor of Trip-Hop.

David Bowie, always the master of extraordinary brightness, so vibrant and full of life, filling everything with such brilliance and excitement that it completely overtakes one, leaving one feeling totally exhilarated. Refreshes my weary soul and makes me feel alive again. Thank you Fiorella, my dear friend, for a much needed lift of my spirits today.

This song is so full of energy! What he does with his hands afterwards I'm so sure is meant to entertain...as it does! He's so great on stage. He loves to entertain people and it really shows. He's a terrific talent. I wish he'd come back. So many miss him.
Thanks so much Fiorella for sharing this! These videos really make my evenings. :-)

I think this piece is difficult to play and sing, tiring: a lot of energy, accelerated and serried, the pressing is constant, the perfect timing can succeed unison with the whole band.
    The heart beats strong.
Bowie, at the end of this performance, seems happy, still on the voltage ... but electrostatic: certainly he does not economize anything to give his best.
Thanks for your watching and comment.

I particularly like this song, with a rhythm section so relentless as it were a fast repartee of the heart to that "Do not you want to be free?": a compelling energy, an imposing strength of the beautiful Bowie/Music.

Thanks sweetest, I agree, we all love him. Bowie is not only a revolutionary musician, an extraordinary voice, a very deep and intelligent man: is a complete entertainer. My intention, in my small, is indicating to young people DAVID BOWIE like an earnest reference of Art (..."It's confusing these days") that requires not only natural talent and explosive verve, but an important preparation and a great zest for life.

Only now I read this comment, adding: Bowie is a symbolist, so it's very difficult to explain his lyrics. For the first time he used the literary technique of William Burroughs "cut-up" for "Diamond Dogs", customizing it in "Outside", mixing in bulk the writings, line by line - three words by 3 words, getting neo-Gothic images which standing out in a climate of despair. Wonderful tragic poetry, amazing, by great Poet.
Thanks to you and to @funk7000.

This video has been hard for me to prepare uploading: very large excursion of frequencies, which made me better understand the complexities of this incredible sound ...
    Great Bowie and great Band.

In my opinion, could also be read in this key, but I think it is mostly an allegorical meaning. "Hallo Spaceboy" forms part of the trilogy (following "Space Oddity" and "Ashes to Ashes") on the fictional character of Major Tom sent for a mission into space: "a journey", almost surreal and far from real life, enigmatic, dramatic.
The concrete fact, of the most splendid dignity, Mr. Bowie won on drugs.

Thanks dearest, yes, the recall to life through Music (... and "this music") is a power botton. For me, ha ha, David could also be useful as an infallible antidepressant, such is his energy charge so tangible, peculiar of his heart: drags us, for resonance, like a tuning fork. His great generosity is also intuitable at the end of this performance, as if he had "emptied" the heart to offer it, without reserve, happy to do so.
