tamakyu the fonts are great. Oh, will you be able to make a traditional oni doll, but with a human appearance. Just asking. Anyway, keep up the amazing designs.
I love her so much! She's so beautiful and historically accurate! I'm Greek actually, and the funny thing is, my hair's the exact same color as Thalia's (and my eyes are the exact same color as my hair, it's kinda weird). Anyway, keep up the good work!
She's gorgeous! I was really excited to see how you would put her together since I have made an ancient greece custom doll too. I was especially smitten by the way you sew the first hair style on, just like they did in ancient Greece :)
Absolutely gorgeous! I'm just amazed by your embroidery talents. And, those sandals are amazing, too. This repaint is just simply elegant. From the color of her hair, her eyes, dress, and shoes. Just perfect!
Oh wow she a is absolutely amazing and lovely. Your attention to detail is first class your embroidery stitching is beautiful, I would never of guessed it was your first time, you are a pro. 🙋♀️ ps I prefer the new don't and size. 😍😍
A masterpiece! The details are amazing, the care that you used has created a marvel. Excellent the video that you made, it's refined and the choice of music, recalls the ancient Greek sounds.
Thank you! 💕 Yeah, I'm not super happy with the eyes, though I think the main problem is the gaze being slightly unfocused, rather than a lack of highlight. I often leave that out since I use gloss varnish over the eyes anyway, and it's usually fine.
She's beautiful! I think it would be super cool if you did a whole series of historically accurate dolls. I'm already fangirling over the idea of it. Great job, she's positively lovely!
@@tamakyuart I'm so excited about it! There's a makeup artist who has a channel named Zabrena and she does historically accurate makeup as well as providing a lot of fun historical facts. Maybe (if it isn't too much exhaustive research, I've never looked into it myself) you could do little historical fashion fact tidbits. Or you could just always keep on keeping on with just making the amazing miniature clothes. Either way, I'm so excited about ittttttt. Looking forward to more videos!
Ahh, watching you reroot is so relaxing to me AHAH! I absolutely loved the level of detail you should it into all your pieces and this one is no different!! Watching you make her shoes and hand stitch the designs for her outfit was literally magical! Beautiful job, please keep up the good work!
Thanks! That's always an important step to me. 💗 This one was just based on the history rather than mythology, but I've wanted to do a Greek mythology series for ages... maybe one day I'll get to it! 😅
Pardon the late comment, but I love this repaint! I've never seen that technique used to blend hair colors and it came out so beautiful and realistic. I also really enjoyed watching you embroider. You're fantastic at it and I very much hope you continue to do so in the future. Thank you for uploading!
Your comment wasn't late at all-pardon the late reply, though! 😅 Thank you for watching, and your kind words! I will definitely incorporate more embroidery in future; I'm really enjoying it. 💕
I can't believe I almost missed this! She's a new favorite! She kind of reminds me of Marina Sirtis from Star Trek (who's Greek too!) Can't get enough exclamation points when talking about your work...!
She’s lovely. Your embroidery is nice but I do recommend you learn the stem stitch for outlining. Knotting behind each bead is also a good idea. I have made a Peplos for myself and they are very comfortable. I would have used handkerchief linen myself. Over all the look is very period. I really like Thalia. You did a very nice job and I love the sandals.
Thank you for your comment! 💗 Yes, the fabric weight was definitely annoying... the stuff I used seemed so light until it was all bundled up on her! In future maybe I'll find some pretty scarves to make peplos for other dolls. I'd love to have one for myself someday, too, that sounds lovely!
I love the captions...very clear. I was just thinking about how many neck pegs I have broken and maybe you guys should make it clearer that immersion of the head in hot water makes for easier removal lol! She is gorgeous as ever! The embroidery is a great touch! Genius with the wire in the sandals! Her hair is lovely! The actual hair is really realistic as it has different colours...is this from Retro Doll? I will have to look at their stuff!
I appreciate your wish for people to show the whole process; however, I personally don’t use hot water to remove the head. I usually use a hairdryer and often remember to show it in the video, but sorry if there are some without that mentioned! Thank you very much! I’m glad you like her 😊 All the hair details are given in the video and description~
Thank you! I think I may have sprayed the braids with a little water, since steam can help set the style, but in general, nylon hair is pretty heat resistant! I've used curling wands and straighteners on it with no problem before. However, one thing to note is that the lighter orangey colour here (Morocco) seemed oddly less heat-resistant than the others! It seemed to melt in a few places, like saran almost.
By the way, what do you think of my new captions font? Do you prefer it to the old one? Is it easier to read? Let me know! ^-^
tamakyu the fonts are great. Oh, will you be able to make a traditional oni doll, but with a human appearance. Just asking. Anyway, keep up the amazing designs.
i don't mind that font.
(and the music was ultra relaxing! and the doll looks ultra sweet!!! well done for the embroidery^^)
I like the new font quite a bit!
It was a font that was very easy to read.
I love her so much! She's so beautiful and historically accurate! I'm Greek actually, and the funny thing is, my hair's the exact same color as Thalia's (and my eyes are the exact same color as my hair, it's kinda weird). Anyway, keep up the good work!

very nice concept. i love the greek pantheon
She's so amazing! Love the embroidery. I prefer the new captions.
Thank you Lena! Great, that's good to hear 💕

Thank you very much! I’m so glad you think so; I really hadn’t done embroidery until this doll and now I love it 🥰
She looks really great! Loving her hair colour, such a beautiful blend. And the embroidery looks so pretty 😍 makes me wanna try it myself 😍
Thank you! 💕 Definitely try it out! I'm really enjoying it so far, and it's a lot simpler than I imagined it would be to pick up!

Thank you so much! I hope I can make it a bit neater in future; I've got an embroidery hoop now so that should help. And yay, that's good to know! 💕
AAA this looks so good!!! always nice to see someone repaint a Melody doll, i loooove her face mold
A masterpiece! The details are amazing, the care that you used has created a marvel. Excellent the video that you made, it's refined and the choice of music, recalls the ancient Greek sounds.

Stunning!!
Thank you!!!
Eyes without glare look lifeless.
Clothes and shoes are very beautiful 😍
Thank you! 💕 Yeah, I'm not super happy with the eyes, though I think the main problem is the gaze being slightly unfocused, rather than a lack of highlight. I often leave that out since I use gloss varnish over the eyes anyway, and it's usually fine.
The Embroidery you did is amazing looking
Thank you! I’d love to include more in future projects! 💕
Absolutely stunning! And that embroidery is fabulous. Excellent job with this doll!
Thank you! :D 💗
ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!! 😍❤
Thank you! 💗
She's amazing!!! I loved the hair and how you make doing the eyes look easy🙀🙀🙀😸😸😸😸
Thank you! 💗 Haha, to be fair, I showed a bit less faceup time in this video so that I could include more of the outfit without it getting too long. 😅

Thank you!!! Yesss I’ve wanted to ever since making this one. Hopefully later this year!

A tiny work of art. Well done!
Thank you 😊
That embroidery! also, love the music!
Thank you! I'm glad 😊💕
Love it! I love how much research you put into her outfit. I’ve always wanted to see more dolls based on Greek mythology since I’m such geek about it!

Wow you have done so much research into the doll, incredibly beautiful and such a great idea for a doll!
Thank you so much! I like putting research into the designs, especially with historical or culturally-based looks~! 💗
Oh wow she is amazing and awesome. I love her
Thank you! 💕
tamakyu very welcome
beautiful and great work
She is stunning!!!! And yes much easier to read! !!!
Thank you! ❤️ And thanks, that's good to know~
Oh my gosh, I love it. I've been waiting so long to see an ancient Greek doll and you did it perfectly! Much kudos!

She's exotic and really beautiful. I appreciate the captions. I'm a little bit older now and my eyes are too! Thank you!
Thanks Marta! Glad to hear they work better for you; I'll definitely be using this font from now on!
Love it very beautiful and delicate😁❤

Amazing. Do you use a fixative after the painting job? Thanks. =)
And I prefer the new captions font 😃👍
Very very beautiful :) did you wet the hair slightly before flat ironing the braids or can this type of hair take heat?

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You could do an entire series on ancient dolls.
I would love to!
When I read the name Thalia I thought of Thalia Grace, daughter of Zeus and lieutenant of the Hunters of Artemis.
Anyone else here recognize the second song from the Arcana?
😍😍😍
really stuning doll
anybody plays The Arcana? (Asra is my one and only)
Thank you! 💗
please make a pastel chakang
I'm sorry, I don't know what that is! 😓
Was this inspired by percy jackson by and chance?
No, it was based on Ancient Greek fashion, and my swap partner’s specifications.
@@tamakyuart oh because there is a greek demigod name thalia but its just a coincidence
Not really: I assume she was named after the same mythological figures as my doll.
Like si hablas español 😝😝😝😝😝📳📳📳📳📳📳📳📳📳
I wanna say she looks Arabic to me for some reason
i thought it was thalia the singer lmao
Nope, just a name-I've never heard of her 😅
You Made My Day I thought of Thaila Grace. I’m a Riordanverse and a mythology geek
Beautiful
Thank you! 💗
