After watching this, I think I might try making Shadow sculpture with air-dryed clay. Also here's a tip I learned from channels that do experiments, resin are pretty dense and its pressure can break hollow objects after it dries.

Hey but now it's 100% accurate! Shadow was a second attempt in creating Ultimate Life Form. First one (Bio Lizard) was a fail too! Amazing work nonetheless
I work with epoxy resin and at the moment they poured the resin into the capsule I was like HOLD TF UP oh- But this is an amazing artwork!! I enjoyed every single second ♥♥♥
I think it would be cool to mention how much time it actually took you to make it from the start to finish somewhere (be it in the actual video or the description). It's just a small and unimportant detail, but it always makes me appreciate the process even more.
I think the only way you gonna have shadow look like he’s some water container is that you might need to make a resin mould off the resin print shadow figure.

I would advise you to take the advice of Bob Ross there are no mistakes just happy little accidents. You can keep It side by side and have it as an Android that was defective, take this advice for future projects. Amazing job, keep up the good work.
