    I´m loving this podcast and I don´t find the subject dry at all despite being Brazilian. I´m lucky enough to speak English and therefore I´m able to read books in English about the subject because I can´t find them in Portuguese. The only difficulty I have in this podcast (and I´m NOT complaining at all) is to understand the accent a bit lol. However it is so rich in details that I don´t mind having to rewind a couple of times to listen to it again. The captions help a lot too. Thank you guys very much for this!!! May God bless you all!

      Perhaps, he means sub-titles.

      If anyone requires, they can use the Autotranslate option in RUclips and get Portuguese Captions... Please try.

    Good conversation. Thanks! A short summary of my understanding on the topic below :
    Advaita: Only the Non-dual pure consciousness(Nirguna Brahman) exists. Jiva, Ishwara with personal qualities(Saguna) and universe never even existed/exists/ will exist(Ajatavada). Their seeming existence at Vyavaharika level is just an illusion(Maya). Goal of a spiritual aspirant is to realize that he/she is nothing but Nirguna brahman through Jnana yoga alone.
    Vishishta Advaita: Brahman is personal only(Saguna and not nirguna). Ishwara(Vishnu), Jiva and Jagat is fundamentally real and not illusory. Brahman/Vishnu has transformed Himself to Jiva and Jagat(Parinamavada- Upadana and Nimitta karana is Brahman). The relation between Jiva and Vishnu is sesha/Seshi. Goal of the aspirant is to first realise his/her true nature as jivatman(Atma Avalokana) and then reach vaikunta through Bhakti yoga and attain moksha. Post Salvation, the jiva retains its individual identity and attains the same bliss as brahman , but still lacks the power of brahman to create, sustain and destroy.
    Dvaita vedanta : Brahman is personal only(Saguna and not nirguna). Ishwara(Vishnu), Jiva and Jagat are fundamentally real and different from one another(Pancha bheda).Brahman/Vishnu has not transformed Himself to Jiva and Jagat(Upadana karana is prakriti and Nimitta karana is Brahman). Goal of the spiritual aspirant is to realise his/her dependence on Vishnu and aspire to reach moksha through Bhakti yoga. Post Salvation, Jiva retains its individual identity and remains a constant servant to Vishnu. Jiva experiences bliss but that never equals the bliss of brahman even in moksha.

    • @manishkumar-xq6xn
      @manishkumar-xq6xn 9 месяцев назад

      In VA, It's not really transformation of Brahman or parinaamavaad. Sukshma Chit-achit vishisht Brahman transforms into Sthul chit-achit-vishisht Brahman. There is no transformation in Brahman but his body undergoes transformation from sukshma to sthoola. As he is inseparable from his body, body being his inseparable attribute; he is upaadaan kaaranam. Sukshma chit-achit-vishisht Brahma is upaadaan kaaranam.
      That's understanding of adiyen. Swami would take up this question later for better understanding

    • @Musiclover22897
      @Musiclover22897 9 месяцев назад +2

      @@manishkumar-xq6xn Brahman according to Vishista advaita is a pan organic whole comprising of Jiva and Jagat(modes/body of Brahman). By Parinamavada it is not implied that brahman changes itself to become jiva and Jagat. Brahman/Vishnu is eternal and unchanging. However both the the material and instrumental(Updana and Nimitta) cause of Jiva and Jagat is Brahman alone. Technically this mode transformation of brahman without losing its eternal nature in to Jiva and Jagat by being both the material and instrumental cause of it is called as brahma prakara parinama vada.

    This is a very lucid and clear exposition of three sampradhyam . At such a young age Sri Varadarajan is a great addition to Sri Vaishnava sampradhyam . He comes from an illustrious Paravastu Bhattar Piran direct disciple ( one of 8 acharyas) of Swamy Manavala Mamuni . It is also a pleasure to note that Sri Varadarajan was in the first group of students of late Varadacharya Patasala in Srirangam . Velukudi Varadacharya was a most illustrious Kalakshepam and was the prominent Sri Karpangadu Venkatacharya swamy who was an outstanding Budwal in Ramanuja sampradhyam . I am
    Sure this young Varadarajan will grow leaps and bound in our tradition . Best wishes to him. Gopalan, Srirangam

    Brilliant. Do it more. What matters is enjoyment. The speaker is good-looking, well mannered, and how he said added glory to what he said, good. All the fundamental philosophies of all the smpradayas are fascinating when understood. Shraddha, love, affection, empathy, tolerance, understanding, a learning open mindedness, are the requirements for self-enquiry, dialogue, and a study of the Vedanta with authority being exercised with caution.

Your kindness has explored in the matter and academically given answers for all that matters differentiating these three siddhantas. Here as you have clarified several times it is appreciable that there is no need to look down any of them. After all as you said it is different school of thoughts which remains a matter of understanding rather than being a matter of disputes. All the three great Acharyas are great to have given their deep knowledge of Bramha Sutras, Vedas and Upanishads. Let us continue deciphering these spiritual texts without getting affected by interpretation of one or the other type. After all, the guide finds Ananda superior to Moksha.

      Liberation- is of three types generally. Pure devotees of the lord even eliminate liberation. For them, Real liberation is serving the absolute ( Radha- Krishna ) under the guidance of his personal associates. The soul's function is also - Sad-cid-ananda, so by serving vibhu sad-cid-ananda, the soul will be satisfied.

    Best aspect I have seen of this teacher is his poise, haven''t even showed slitest dispect or kindling attitude towards philosophies other his and tried to explain them to the best he knows of them. Hats off to his balance! My self disclosure is I am an advaiti and am fairly convinced there is only one truth, it is only one nature and also there is only one way to know it. But it is but futile to argue here which is the right understanding! So I will not go there. But one aspect of vishistadvaita didn't come clear to me in this lecture. At about 50min into the lecture, there was a question about relation of body and embodied soul and a postulation that a given body is allotted as per past deeds. If I understood it right, does the explanation imply that in vishistadvaita the deeds performed in one body will determine the body of the next life? OR in vishistadvaita does the soul itself instigates the body to do actions that lead to future bodies? Basically who exactly is the agent? I am sure even in vishishtadvaita both body and mind are ineert.and they dont affect soul (like he mentioned body grows old, not the soul) and definitely not the super soul. So I am guessing both soul and super-soul in vishistadvaita are presiders only, at least the super-soul is. But is the soul not merely presiding but instigator of deed also? That is running counter to soul being immune to aging, so it should be immune to rest of human aspects too. It would be nice if anyone can clarify. regards

      Sir. It is difficult to explain. A good scholar may explain it. It is so vast that a common man cannot understand. But, Lord Krishna says Ekatvam, in Bhagavadgita. He says bhakta and self both are same. Probably one should attain that highest knowledge...

      Current actions resulting in next body. Itz for all sampradayas. Soul has to understand Whatz Who Brahdmam and do things per our principles to attain salvation from rebirth.
      One day all has to fall in vishishta advait for no more birth like situation

      Lack of Self-knowledge and Karma are the forces driving transmigration. Former is because Jivatma is bound by body and mind. You are asking how is it possible when Jivatma is pure and unaffected. These modifications should be understood as surface level, not affecting the nature of the substance itself but an attribute external to it. For eg. a diamond that is unpolished is still pure, it just needs to be polished. The blemishes are not intrinsic to it. These blemishes in case of jivatma is due to karma and the acts it performs due to ignorance.

    Swami 🙏. In the 52nd minute of the podcast, the question asked was how jeevathmas can be considered as sareera of Brahman - if the relationship is similar to the relationship with his sareera s described in the stotras like the Shanka, chakra etc. However your answer skips the direct answer to this questions but talks about His various other sareera aspects. In this world, in a living being, sareera is achid and the soul is chid. Can the same be explained about a chid sareera to a chid soul? This aspect requires some further explanation. Dasan.

    • @manishkumar-xq6xn
      @manishkumar-xq6xn 9 месяцев назад

      As swami said, our body is achid and had chid as aatma. This body is also having Bhagwan as antaryami. Thus, it is belonging of both.
      Whereas, Bhagwan's body (tirumeni) is called asaadhaaran because it belongs to bhagwan alone. It's different from bhagwan and achetanam but have swayam-prakashatvam.
      The aatma itself have Bhagwan as antaryami who control, supports and owns the aatma. As swami quoted the definition of shareera from Sri Bhashya (Any substance which a conscious soul is capable of completely controlling and upporting for its own purposes, and which stands to the soul in an entirely subordinate relation, is the body of that soul. Our body is completely under our control and we shape it and use it for our purposes). From this definition, aatma is shareera of Bhagwan as aatma is controlled and hold by bhagwan and is shesha to bhagwan.

      If I may, Dvaita might say, "None to love BUT Brahman!" Or, "None or nothing is independent of Brahman!"
      Please correct me, Swami, if you have something more accurate.
      V nice, equanimous, balanced explanation of the basic differences.
      Bheda or difference is fundamental to our understanding of the world. Even this video tries to explain the, you guessed it, "differences" among the three sampradayas. Differences clarify and bring clarity.
      Nice video; more than that, v happy to see this Acharya. Wishing all three well, Namaste.

    Very nice explanations, I want to go deeper into this.
    I have a question regarding death and rebirth
    If the soul leaves the body after death and gets into another life as re-birth, then why do we need to do Pitru Paksha. The soul has already left and gone to another life, so the Pitru paksha (Pinda dana) I do, will not help the soul at all. Can I get some clarification?
    Second question
    It is believed in Hinduism that after so many births one takes the birth as a human being. So a human being is the most special creation of Paramathma. In that case, the population of human beings is increasing and now has reached about 8 Billion. Does it mean that more human beings are born due to other beings doing good deeds and now are getting a chance to be born as human beings?
    Many Pranams to you. Thank You.

    We are followers of Jagadhguru Shri Madhwacharya. I think Dwaitha philosophy is most relevant in today's society. This is because the world is real and there is difference between Paramtma and Jeeva, Jeeva and Jeeva, Jeeva and Jada, Jada and Jada bedha which is a truth. Shri Madhwacharya is the incarnation of Shri Vayu..Hanuma in Trethayuga, Bhimasena in Dwaparayuga, Madhwa in Kaliyuga
    (Hanuma, Bhima, Madhwa). Many powerful guru's came in the lineage of Shri Madhwacharya viz., Sri Sripadarajuru, Sri Vyasya theertharu, Sri Vadiraja theertharu, Sri Raghavendra Swamy and many others. Also, Hari sankeerthana's by Shri Purandara Dasaru, Shri Kanaka Dasaru, Shri Vijaya Dasaru, Shri Gopala Dasaru, Shri Jaganatha Dasaru. It is called Dasa Sahithya in Kannada language which is melodious, mesmerizing. Hari Sarvottama, Vayu Jeevottamma...!

      Our ramanuja is the incarnation of adisesha. He explains clearly about paramatma and atma relations in his masterpiece shri Bashyam.... our acharyas are incarnations of God themselves eg.. balarama lakshmana ramanuja... the better thing is we have incarnations of the ornaments of God eg. Swamy Vedanta Desikan is an incarnation of the bell.. ghantavataram.... and with respect to relevance you are totally wrong as the temple most worshipped in india is tirupati.. not only that but according to us anyone can be a shri vaishnava irrespective of whether they are a Brahman or not.... Christianity,s philosophy is literally the same as ours... total surrender. PLEASE CHECK YOUR FACTS BEFORE TYPING.. jai shri ramanuja. At the end of the day all of us are vaishnavas so there is bo need to fight on who is the greatest vaishnava... I am just proving my point
