  • From NBC 7 comes STOLEN; an expansive documentary series about sex trafficking and the exploitation of children in San Diego County and beyond.
Told from multiple perspectives, STOLEN explains why the illicit child sex market thrives in San Diego County and across the U.S., while chronicling the strength of survivors, their families, and advocates working to break that destructive cycle and reclaim their stolen lives.
Understand the issue in a new way by hearing the jailhouse recordings of a convicted trafficker manipulating two teen girls into selling themselves online. The tapes led to an NBC7 investigation exposing gaps in the justice system that allow people who pay to sexually assault children to face little to no consequences.
The documentary is the product of a year-long investigation that includes exclusive interviews and, for the first time ever, substantial proof of the scope of the problem in San Diego County schools. And as a global pandemic shifts the education system into a virtual space, experts warn of exploiters targeting children online, now more than ever before.

  • @makinasewingcenter7918

They’re not “underage women,” they’re children!

That defense lawyer calling them "underage women" is really gross....

  • @unlistedandtwisted

That man DID NOT DESERVE IMMUNITY. There was AMPLE evidence against the incarcerated perpetrator - HOW DID THE D.A. NOT KNOW THAT??? The calls were RECORDED. That 74 y/o man DIDN'T DESERVE IMMUNITY. THE CALLS INCRIMINATED THE TRAFFICKER JUST FINE WITHOUT OFFERING POSNER IMMUNITY. THIS IS SICKENING. STUPID. WRONG. I WOULD SLAP THAT D.A.

  • @cultytalk

This is an excellent program. Should be shown in all middle & high-school.

  • @rebeccaslyter3003

Considering how many "women" (as in over 25 and way beyond) fall for the manipulation of an evil man is crazy to think 15 yr olds have any fighting chance.

  • @laurakobetich9809

Unbelievable that there aren’t stiffer penalties for those who purchase these girls for sex. Without buyers, this industry wouldn’t exist. They are absolutely at the root of the problem

  • @tamseguin3839

That old dude is nasty, this is so wrong. Needs to STOP

I was in a Domestic violent relationship years ago. An abuser does the same thing to the victim. Only he or she is not selling their victim. Their beating their victim. What I learned a Man who hits his girlfriend or wife is capable of killing their victim. I got out I thank God of that relationship. It destroyed my family the damage was done but I thank God we are all safe i have been free out of that relationship for 11 years now In Jesus name.

  • @rosegold3730

First problem, calling them women not girls. Second problem giving that creep immunity.

  • @BloomByCC

Husband used to drive for MTS. Trained in how to recognize trafficking. Spots what he knows is a trafficker with his underage victim. Doesn't want to radio in and alert the trafficker so discreetly calls in on his cell for security/law enforcement to be at an upcoming stop.

  • @renaecarpenter1298

I work with minors rescued from sex trafficking and this is one of the best documentaries I’ve ever seen!! Kudos!!!

  • @annettehunter9743

I watched this in Ireland. An excellent documentary but needs millions more viewers to make an impact. Some people are doing such fantastic work. Well done to them.

  • @kiliankaronama

As a parent, anywhere in the world, this would be one of the greatest fears, especially in this day and age 😢😤

  • @kalpanaperry6709

I am confused. This adult person admits on audio that he has had payed sex with a 15 year old and no charges? This is crazy.

  • @NYCWendy1

This should be on every TV channel every day until the world has seen it.

Without those adults looking to pay for favors the circle might be broken. How are those crimnals not being charged?

  • @scottricci5063

One question : why in hell would they give that sick old man "immunity"? Absolutely revolting!
