Is it the steering bar or a tie rod? Also, I wouldnt "bonk" too hard on that aluminum knuckle! These videos make it look so easy...parts are often fused together with rust. The only way I could get this done was to entirely remove the spindle and pound out the bearing from behind. That's after I had to jack up the truck with the jack pressing on the bottom of the lower ball joint to get that apart first!! This is not an easy job at all if you have rusty parts.
I did not remove the tie rod nut or the tie rod and I cannot get a impact socket on the bolt for the bearing assembly as the axle is in the way. The axle is loose and I did not have to hammer it to get it loose. Do I need a regular socket or would removing the Tie Tod allow me more room to get better access to the bolt. Also you do not have a backing plate on this truck.

+Michael Harris Yes, the procedure should be the same for the other side.
He said, "give her a few bonks"
You should have made clear that you're removing the caliper AND bracket and not just the caliper.
Yep he removed them all as one piece. That works.
