Great idea and budgeting/saving money is always a work in progress. I might try something similar next month since I already bought stuff today from The Happy Planner site. They restocked the Minnie Note Planner and I had to get it... Maybe I'll use that for household budgeting.... 🙄🙄
I was going to suggest that you use the daily pages to log what stores you went to and how much you spent at each. At the end of each week tally how many times you frequent each store. At the end of the month you’d see how often you frequent each. Same as tracking expense log, but let’s you see where you go daily. I hate that happy planner reduced the number if bill pay lines and only gave one page per month.
Desiree, I am so glad that you did this video!! You can just put the cash for clothes in there and build it and keep track of it. For Starbucks use a notes sheet or use one bill tracker to log your loads because you wouldn't get points if you pay cash. I just did the same thing last night with my old skinny classic. The pen loop is great because I always forget it. It would be good to put shopping lists in there too. I am going to label my envelopes now because I didn't even think of using the colorful boxes foil stickers 🤔🤯

I feel inspired to be more mindful of my finances! 🙏 Thank you for not using cash right now (as someone who works at the cash, I can say I cringe whenever someone hands me money 💴 and then immediately wash my hands after). If you wanted the tangible feel of money in your envelopes, you could still pay with your card, but use Monopoly money and move it out of your budgeting envelopes as you spend it.
Haha!! They're so hard for me to do while I'm just sitting on my bed doing them. I fear that it'll be a total mess if I tried to film it while having to stand and look through my camera set up! 😅 😂

Yay! Love to see you budgeting Desiree! Those envelopes are sooo cute! And you don’t have to use cash. I’ve never been a fan of having a bunch of cash on me. Receipts and keeping tally’s on your weekly balances work just as fine, (if not better, CLEANER lol). You can use the monthly to track your paydays and/or your starting balances when you work your numbers out or planning budgeting sessions or habit tracking

As like other commenters, I arranged a skinny classic notes as my cash envelope system. Each envelope has a note page behind it with a starting balance budget amount for the month so I can track each category/envelope individually. I am also not using cash, but I have a separate debit card account for “cash envelope” pool. I put the receipts for money spent in each category in the envelopes right now, until we can get back to cash. I love that you made this video!

If you are interested in seeing the total amount you spend everyday, you could use the monthly log for that. As we are cashless right now, I use my envelopes to organize the receipts by category. You can still keep your sheet with your total budget you subtract from in there as well. I love your videos!
I turned my Classic Skinny on-the-go into an on-the-go budget planner too. It's a companion to my full Classic budget planner. I used the mini budget extension pack in 2020 but decided to go full Classic. The mini worked fine but I started cash envelopes just before the pandemic started then boom... quarantine. When I saw that HP came out with actual half sheet envelopes with budgeting designs that, I knew that I would have to start using a Skinny Classic. I have the older half sheets expense trackers too then log everything into my full Classic because that one maps out my savings goals. I'm looking for the Savvy Saver envelopes and the Savvy Saver companion pack because that one has good breakdowns for debt tracking.
@@Happy2planwithDesiree i was disappointed by not doing the full cash envelopes since most places are still not taking cash. 😕 I have a part time retail job at Loft and lots of times we don't even have change so we encourage cards. We also just updated our credit card terminals to accept mobile payments. There are a lot of budgeting videos that show how to do cashless envelopes but I haven't watched any yet. I think I'll watch those today. 🤔
I use a skinny classic happy notes. Like you said, the weekly pages aren’t really needed. I added extra sheets I made for savings tracking and some some other tracking that I wanted to do with my money. I usually use the bill pay stickers but I’m running out. I like those expense tracker sheets you have!
