9:30 The popcorn cassia plant is a fun plant. It grows fast and the flowers look like buttered popcorn complete with kernels and if you run your hands along the leaves your hands will smell like popcorn! It puts out seed pods which you can give to all your friends. 🍿🍿🍿
I can relate to your saying: "I did not expect to buy as many plants as I did..." I always come away with a heap more than intended. How can one not? 😁❤
I got a 3 kings from Plantitas last year it’s barely hanging on. My albo and aura and mojito are doing great. The stem are much bigger or thicker. I have a pony tail that was in a pot and the bottom broke off. I got it from my boss in a dental office over 50 yrs ago. It’s still alive in a bottomless pot 😅. I went to Rosales yesterday and got a anthurium with maroon flowers and green and burgundy leaves for $25. I need to stop buying or just stick to cactus and succulents. Been buying different types of snake plants. My brother just got me a cleopatra for my b-day, I feel bad cuz my plant have a pup and his doesn’t ☹️. Have a great Sunday.
Another great vlog. I’m telling you, if I live there, I’ll be totally be broke. Although it will be nice to live there close to my relatives. Thanks for another great vlog.....good day.
It’s exciting to see you walk through Armstrong! They’re someplace that needs regular visits to catch when the shipments arrive in order to catch the exciting plants! I’m able to reach 3 different stores and all seem to have a different stock based on the neighborhood and the ordering manager. But I’m now going to race down to pick up a vanilla orchid… so on my wishlist. I don’t know how you walk out of any plant store with your car full!
You always find the best nurseries. I was lucky enough to find a Thai Con with large finest rated leaves and gorgeous varegation. 4 inch pot for $40. Saw some similar size with lower varegation for $150 at a local nursery. Yay to Giant Tiger for the win (Ontario Canada) Posted it on Marketplace so others could go get them too 🧡🌿
Hi Patrick! Love your channel, every episode informative and fun. Just wanted to let you know I am growing Ficus religiosa from seed and their getting large. I've always liked Ficus but you inspired me with this one. Very exciting watching them grow. Thanks again Patrick, will be watching.
I knew of Armstrong when I lived in Southern California but wow wish there was one where I lived back then. Hmm, thought you would have gone for the Aralia (never heard of this one). I see you buying plants at almost every visit your place must be quite full of houseplants.😮😅
Thanks for showing us what's available.. any idea when I could find a Manjula pothos or a hoya heuschkeliana? Those are the only 2 plants on my wish list at the moment.
Our Midwest Home Depot and Lowe's stores are lousy with manjulas from Costa, yet I've never seen any on the West Coast. I'm beginning to think (plant experts please correct me if I'm wrong) that they simply call them manjulas in the Midwest, but they're snow queens out west...because I have literally never seen a snow queen at any of my local nurseries.

Maybe I'll visit an Armstrong when I'm in CA!
Torrance is near Long Beach! That one’s my favorite! Costa Mesa is a very close second and it’s not far from Huntington Beach either!
