I’m a watcher and not one who comments much but I love this episode. It felt I was with a friend going to look at plants and have a nice veggie lunch then go back to store for more plants. Love it!
Your big box stores are stocked up! My local ones don't fulfill my wishlist goals as much as the stores your way! Exciting to see some of the 'rarer' plants coming in more frequently
Omg I would die if I saw that paraiso verde in my Home Depot. That’s insane! And to think people have actually found Florida beauties!? Are you serious!? 😭🤣
Hi Patrick happy New Year wishing you all your heart desire in 2024. I thought you were going for the very large peace Lilly ❤ but I love the anthriums thanks for the shopping tour.
New England Home Depot’s don’t get anything other than sad half dead plants! Hahah all these recent big box shops videos I’m seeing have incredible options!!
Yeah, love what you love, grow what you grow, but kinda have to do it right with Calatheas, Marantaceae, carnivorous plants, etc! I love them now that I learned the basics about their water needs. As in, distilled or spring water only. Since then I don’t have any real issues with them. I do repot them soon after purchase though, cause most soils at stores are pure peat. They hold TOO MUCH water. Even Calatheas rot. Currently I have Maranta leuconeura, an ornata, warszciewicsii, rattlesnake, zebrina, Ctenanthe Burle Marx, Grey Star and lubbersiana, and Stromanthe sanguinea! Cherishing them now that I know what to do!
I really like your videos you're so fun to watch and I am so jealous because I live in Sacramento and the big box stores don't have the variety that you show where you live.
6:17 mine put out orange blooms, I just recently found out there is one the blooms yellow too, I’m surprised you said yellow because I have never seen the yellow one 😮
The Anthurium had to be the one Patrick😄🙏💖And lovely pothos too! I also went planty shopping and bought a tillandsia funckiana, An extraordinary species from Venezuela that produces bright scarlet-red flowers when in bloom which is rare. I enjoyed watching so much and will you go back for the spathiphyllum? 😅🙌💞
I’ve definitely thought about going back for the spathiphyllum 😂 your tillandsia sounds stunning! I think I’ve finally figured out how to keep them happy so I’m enjoying seeing the ones I have grow!
My local home depot had two giant carts of tropicals i saw them on christmas eve, but they hadnt moved them to the tables yet. I saw some big beautiful pink princess, some giant hoya in hanging baskets. Things looked a little freeze damaged from travels, but i was ao excited to see what was on those carts. I went back, day after Christmas to see all the new plants, and they had nothing. I guess they rejected the entire shipment. I am still heartbroken, and they still dont have much selection. That was just mean lol.
Hi Patrick, They had lots of nice plants. I have a Dracaena Magenta. It's a bit smaller than the ones you showed. Did you not buy the Fettonia Frankie? 13:13 I would've, but the ones you got are great, too.❣️🪴✨️

All our HD/Lowes have pretty much nothing in stock at the moment. Always enjoy our videos & the cool tunes playing at the beginning of your videos.
What part of the states do you live in? I kind of feel the same way here in the sw!
