Hi Patrick😌🙌I enjoyed seeing all the Epiphyllums and the blooms are gorgeous🥰I'm sure Katy had a great time talking with you😌🙏 have 2 Epiphyllums: one has white flowers and the other is called German empress that has pink flowers.
These e plants have some beautiful blooms. I have a Queen of the knight. The original ended up freezing many years ago. Now have about a six inch plant from a cutting. They do root easily. I have enjoyed this plant for many years and have sha the cuttings. Thanks for sharing.
I love this so much. She is so interesting and lovely to listen to... I love her brother's quote. You are a great interviewer... you show great respect and interest and I love that. Thank you for the videos. You know how to make smoothly, happy videos.
Thanks you Patrick this was such an awsome video Katie has a memory that is second to none telling you all about the plants and her childhood memories with her brother I would say she had a wonderful life and is still having❤ this really was special. Epiphyllium are my favorite orchid cactus the blooms as spectacular I have about 6 of them but all are white blooms. I did bought a red and unfortunately I lost it but I will get there again from this awsome inspirational tour.❤
Ah I so enjoyed this episode! Those plants were very interesting! She reminded me of all the grandmother's I grew up with..I use to tag along with em ..I was hard headed..but somehow plants got to me! Lol..that's were my love affair with plants started. So be patient with older folks they have a lot to teach you! Lol..my words od wisdom! Thanks for inviting us along
Love your words of wisdom and the origins of your love of plants! I got mine from my grandmother as well and now that she’s gone my mom has taken her creativity to the garden with her succulents! Thanks for sharing that with everyone here ❤️
Absolute lovely tour of this nursery. Epi(s) are so under-rated plants. They do well in my place where winters are sooooo dry. So relieved to learn from Katy that it takes about 3 years on average for these green gurrrrls to bloom. Only 1 in my collection is at that age! May this be the year! Thank you Patadendron.
My first cutting, Queen of the Night, 2 years ago. I have learned a lot about Epiphyllums just by watching this video 😊I will be checking out her website. Salamat Patrick for sharing ❤
I think this might be my most favorite video yet! Katie was great, I loved listening to her stories. I used to have a big red epi years ago, they are such beautiful plants. Great video Patrick, thank you.
You are right in saying "this is special " because it truly is special, a whole nursery dedicated to epiphyllum. My first one is a Queen of the night; didn't know it is collectible. I will give it more respect from now on. It is about 5 feet tall and just as wide and I haven't given it all the love it deserves.
This is awesome. Last year I got a cutting from a 60 year old plant, it was a lady's grandfathers Epiphyllum. I need to keep track of the years I have it.
I love to see other countries nurseries, I live in the UK, we can get a lot of the same but mostly have to have grow lights. Thank you so much, I’m sorry I only just found you half hour ago and I’m so excited to get watching what you show us ❤
Great video, have visited Garden Jewels and added to my Epipyllum collection. Thanks to Elwood! Tagged a few more varieties to add on next visit. Katie has awesome place
I Love Katie! Such wonderful words of wisdom on life and her plant growing expertise is invaluable! Great interview & great nursery! I get so excited every time my Queen of the night blooms and now I will always remember Katie. That was super special thank you both 🙏
Very special episode. I rescued one from Lowes that was on clearence for $8.00 and I glad to have an idea of how to make it flourish. Thanks for the interview and info
This is wonderful! I have enjoyed seeing the entire collection of orchid cactus plants but my favorite part of this is the interview that you were able to do with Katie. This can be called a mini documentary/historical record, right?
Wow! I have a few queen of the night plants, they bloom white, only bloom at night and only last for one night! These look like the same plant but different colors!
I will always be a fan of Patadendron videos! Thank you! I am sharing it with so many people! Hopefully, you'll get some followers out of this. 🎉 thank you again.
I have their website in the description. I believe in-person shopping is by appointment only right now but you can just give Katie a call to make an appointment. Info is all on the web 🫶🏽🫶🏽
