I like this version of Scars better than the one with the poem "To the New Boyfriend" because all the emotion can be felt during those last few verses which were cut out of the new version.

The pure emotion of this is so powerful I get chills no matter how many times I watch it. It's heart wrenching-ly beautiful to know someone can describe that pain that we all feel but can never explain.

Because feelings like these are infinite, and there are not enough lines to describe everything that goes through your mind. I found myself listening to this, agreeing, and adding more and more. Maybe one of these days I'll get to recite my own poems, and that way at least begin to release everything I've held in. I lied when I said my scars were fading, and I am glad they won't
Maybe you should look at the date before you refer to things as "cliche". This was written and performed in 2009. How about you post some links to your work and we can juxtapose and compare our levels of innovation?
