Subscription pricing models can be fair. Some people are just wanting something cheap in perpetuity without thinking about the money that needs to be spent on development and maintenance (paying all the minions that work for you). Getting back to "Fair"...Clip Studio Paint Pro for iOS is one of the few "big" apps that is a fully featured version of the desktop for $28.90 a year. That is a fair subscription.
It’s a double-edged sword: on one hand, I appreciate paying a one-time fee for software like Nomad Sculpt, where you own it for life-as long as it works and the company stays afloat. On the other hand, a subscription model ensures that developers continue to get paid for their ongoing work and improvements. Both models have their pros and cons.
You’re missing the point, zbrush for iPad is for professionals that have the money and the desktop version as well. Let me say it once more time before you get the wrong idea here on what I’m saying - zbrush for iPad, is for professionals that work with both zbrush AND the iPad version, at a professional studio level, everyone else can use nomad or whatever else that’s fine, $49 bucks a month is fucking nothing to a company worth millions. Simply because the flexibility of this and seamless back and forth to zbrush and saving in the cloud on files - you’re paying for extreme convenience at a professional level. This product is for people that value results, and time - over workarounds and have Audis and companies with the sculpts they make, and just like nomad exists for hobbyist, so can a product exist for people who earn 6 figures with their work.
For sure, that said though if you already appreciate the features of ZBrush on desktop and have a subscription for that the ipad one is included. I have just started playing around on Nomad sculpt for Ipad and am really impressed with their license and everything you get for the one time payment of $20. That said, compared to the desktop suite of ZBrush it has many limitations. I am just really happy that they decided to include Zbrush for ipad in the base maxon subscription and not an extra charge on top. I understand though if people who dont use it on desktop already would be apprehensive to try it with Nomad sculpt being such a great value offer on the app store.
The subscription cost it's higher now. From 389 to 437 euros for the annual subscription and from 42 to 54 euros for the monthly sub. From 359 to 399 dollars for the annual sub and from 39 to 49 dollars for the montly sub
@@marcopescuma I’m lucky I’m still a student right now so I get that $60/ yr or whatever. I am glad competition like nomad sculpts exist though for those who don’t pay for it. That said, I feel like Zbrush is a reallly valuable piece of software and I will be glad to pay for it upon graduation, but, there definitely needs to be alternatives too and if they did have a one time license option like $2,000 such as Houdini from SideFX does I am sure many people would pay for that and do away with this toxic never-ending subscription mentality so many greedy companies are falling prey too
11 bucks a month would be worth it if it was a proper version of zbrush with z modeler.. etc and do something new, where is the pbr rendering instead of this dinosaur renderer you got since the 1990s?but you want to charge full price for it,criminals.
Zbrush Ipad should be a 1 time purchase. Nomad will keep the crown for mobile sculpting simply because of this. Maxon ya'll too money driven.
Yeah, getting rid of perpetual licenses for any company is a HUGE L. Thank adobe for starting this subscription never own your software shit.
I agree, but it is still great to be able to use this for those who already own Zbrush

I don’t like subscription. I rather buy the full version without paying monthly or yearly.
its 11.99/monthly and 99.99/yearly.
Based on the current market conditions, I’m willing to pay for major updates with significant new features but I won’t pay for a subscription….
currently not getting the activate license part despite having a zbrush for desktop subscription!
Same here - no options appear to activate?
Same
It came up for me. Maybe becuase I recently renewed
So how much is a monthly sub, if it's more than £4.99/month... sticking to Nomad.

Remeber guys it’s 11.99 a month now, until next year when you’re locked in and they start sneaking the price up.
How about student’s license?
is it available? I can't seem to locate it on the app store.
I went to their website
I have installed it today on my ipad.
.but i need to update my payment in the app store to unluck the zbrush app
So glad it is included with the desktop Zbrush subscription. THANK YOU MAXON!!

Love ZBrush but forget about paying for subscription.I own or nothing. I stick with Nomad.
imo this won't compete with Nomad
Just do a perpetual 1000 dollar license option we don’t want this subscription bs
