BEST GAME EVERRRRRRR!!!!! Tennessee was not foolin with Geno them this game. They meant absolute business!! And Candace was SO disrespectful this ENTIRE game.
this may not mean much, but i remember that day being a triple-header of women's college basketball on CBS with this game as the nightcap. it was a good lineup, though, i think it started with Ohio St vs Kentucky. Neither Uconn nor Tennessee were #1 in this game, but the lineup featured #1 Maryland vs #18 Michigan state before this game. Ever since this day i haven't seen a lineup like this. basically, people got to see the #1 team play, then they got to see the hottest rivalry game in women's basketball. they just don't make lineups like that anymore.
Pat was very vocal about how Geno recruited his players by using espn visits and rightfully so , and Pat brought the spotlight to ladies basketball I became a fan the year they won their first national title.........
Geno became very desperate after this game and knew he would have to break the rules to get Maya to change her verbal to Uconn. Secondary violation but still a violation according to NCAA.

Great rivalry. UConn may be on the track to another NC in 2021. TN is rebuilding. WCBB keeps getting better mainly because middle school and high school programs are soaring. Watch some of the 2020 Minn AAAA championship to see how good the Hopkins team is at ruclips.net/video/K4szdDYG6SA/видео.html Sure players like Paige Bueckers are getting big press, but the team play in top high school programs rival many college programs.
