My favorite play of the whole game was Ann Strother's drive to the basket which begins at the 1:22:40 mark. This was Ann's twelfth collegiate game ever and she goes one on one with the entire Tennessee team. Awesome.

The half court shot from Taurasi was just a sign of great things to come her way. Too bad that her career will come to a close someday but she will be known as one of the best of all time. Love her or hate her, she was fun to watch and still is.

The 3/4 court shot to end the half, the shot to put it into O/T, the winning shot. Diana has those big moments. My favorite player. They are lucky that Kara Lawson's shot didn't go in at the end, though, because she did get a decent look. I remember when this game aired, I was thinking - NooOOO! Defend that shot! Whew.

The reaction of the Tennessee fans behind the Tennessee bench when Diana hit that 3/4 court shot: Priceless. :)
    They're like: WHAT?!!!
I miss these UConn/Tennessee matchups, they were always the best. They are playing Tenn again next season, but it won't be the same without Pat Summit. Now it's UConn/Notre Dame that is the big game.

Probably my favorite Uconn/Tennessee game over all the intense battles they have had.

Diana didn't just hit that half court bomb. She hit the net. It never bobbled or banked in. It was all money with such confidence. Who does that?! Only Diana Taurasi. Can't tell you how many times Ive seen her that too

This is one of the classic UConn women’s basketball games and definitely one of the top three Taurasi college games.
Brings back great memories of UConn-Tennessee rivalry at its best. But how is Classic Basketball Channel able to publish copyrighted content of CBS Network? Is it part of fair use?

When did CBS stop broadcasting women's college basketball? I know they broadcast the championship game until 1995 (when UConn beat Tennessee for their first title).

@@jeffrygagnon5506 I miss those CPTV games. They were always done so much better, like you were there on the court. Most of the games are on SNY now, and they don't do as good of a job. It always looks like it's far away, and you just see these little players off in the distance: like you're sitting in the nose-bleed seats. I don't miss the pledge breaks, though. :) I miss the original Geno Auriemma show, with just him and Meagan Culmo sitting and talking. Now it's this overly-produced thing with some chick thrown in doing the interviews. (I forget her name).
