I'm a youtuber too and I watched this video and a few of your other videos. I really think you are the best LA food guide in RUclips. Subscribed!
The Kura in Troy, MI has reduced their menu by 1/3 since the pandemic started. Love the concept. Would like to see more conveyor belt restaurants.
Troy, MI is my go-to location too. Have you heard about the one they’ll be opening in Novi soon?
Just got one in my city I wanna go for my birthday in December
😱 NO NO NO NO NO, that place is a waste of my life's meal quota!!!!!
I would rather go to a Tokyo Central supermarket to pick up some sashimi and sushi at better quality if I have to eat sushi on a budget!
If you know of any better conveyor belt in LA, please share with us all.
@@RockstarEater I haven't been to a conveyor belt sushi place in the state for at least 6 years, there are plenty of sit down restaurants that offers better quality of nigiri at a reasonable price in LA.
There are also a few AYCE place that have better quality/ selections.
If you are into conveyor belt sushi, I recently read on Yelp about Sushi Sumo in Gardena, I have never been, so at your own risk!
This is your opinion based off what facts? Your own perception? You obviously don't even know where the fish comes from. These are sushi grade fish from the best parts of the world. Most imported from Japan and cold waters of Northern Europe. Even the Wagyu is high quality. How do I know? My uncle is the store manager.
@@ntoxicatedtigah Mind you there are no regulations on using the term "sushi grade" or "sashimi grade", anyone can use that on a piece of raw fish!!
Any decent sushi chef will tell you the term "sushi grade" is just BS.
As for wagyu, a piece of A2 and a piece of A5 japanese wagyu can have a huge price different.
I eat Japanese food at least once a week and had been to tsukiji fish market multiple times, I think I know what a great piece of sashimi/ nigiri taste like.
If you prefer a piece of nigiri with a machine pressed rice or a hand roll with chewy nori, that is your choice, but no thanks for me!
When I lived and worked on the Westside, I would go to revolving sushi bars in Marina Del Rey and Westwood. There was also one in Little Tokyo. What I like about them is the instant gratification. Sushi can be a very slow experience in a crowded sushi bar with a couple of chefs. At a revolving sushi bar, all my favorites pass by within a minute or two. I see there is a Kura in the South Bay, I'll have to give it a try.
Awesome video! Kura Sushi is actually a public company that I cover on my restaurant stocks RUclips Channel! Thanks for sharing and looking forward to more great content!
Been there and the food is below average, would not recommend it.
Brea location is meh, Cerritos locations is slightly better than okay. San Diego’s location is decent quality. Don’t expect mind blowing but, the San Diego location at least is decent. You’ll leave satisfied.
Will have to concede that I haven’t been to the location he went to but I’ll say, since I’ve been two 3 other locations San Diego and the location he went to, since he knows his shit, are probably your best bet.
i went to the one in watertown and it was DELICIOUS
You get what you pay for. I got enough sushi for 2 people for $40. It’s definitely not the best, but the price is worth what you get.
ITS SO FUCKING OVER PRICED
This is a great place and ppl who say it’s expensive there lying there just broke haters ahahahaha get a job bums great video
The funnest part is learning how to pop open the containers to get to the sushi 🍣 before the sushi passes you on by...It takes #NINJASKILLS 😆 🤣 😂 KEEP ON ROCKING MY FRIEND!!!
ikr 😂 i went today i kept messing up and it flew alway by the time i popped it out
It’s not a good place for sushi and Kura only for people never eat Sushi
Their sushi quality not good as a regular sushi places
DOH! I’ve been wanting to go to the little Tokyo location but realize I’ve been looking right at the Kura Sushi shop when walking into the Sherman Oaks mall every time I go there. Didn’t realize that until I saw the beginning of this video.
I love Inari and Eel.
My favorite food ! Everything looked delicious! Really enjoyed watching! Subscribed :)
bro your face telling you dont like this place lmfao
Hi Steve! I stumbled across your channel. Very cool. Ekkie says hello. They have a location in San Diego. We really enjoy eating there.
I will stick to Omakase. Conveyor belt sushi sounds unappetizing. 🤮
Sounds like a good idea. Please continue to follow my channel to see other great food videos!
Thanks for the video. Apply that idea to something other than sushi, I'm in!
Safe Journey!
CHOLULA!!!
As much as I love sushi I noticed in the last two years it started with right a month before pandemic hit us where I got sick after raw fish. I guess my body doesn't like raw fish so when I go in I can only get cooked fish sushi like eel. I can tolerate fish egg sushi where there is masago or ikura fish egg on top of sushi. I used to go often to kura in west la area and I wasn't impressed with their sushi. This was back when I had no issues handling raw fish. I prefer the lit
Spider handroll with soft shell crab r
In LA, it's $3 per plate but only 100 yen per plate at the Kura in Japan. Is it the cost of labor? WTF?
Because Kura USA and Kura japan are 2 different entities such is why the price difference
Salmon and tuna are my favorites.
Try hello sushi in Fullerton!!!!
I went there today it was delicious 🤤 i got like 5 of the golden crunchy rolls i think it’s called, and the salmon and crab their is soo good. The only issue with that place tho is i feel like I purposely get too much stuff just so I can watch the conveyor or robot bring it to me, or even just get to put the plates down the table 😂😂
dude you're so fun to watch! love your commentary! my fave sushi is anything salmon haha

I like his shaky shake dance as he enjoys the food. He keeps adding great places to visit on my list.
Kura sushi is pretty good for a conveyor belt inexpensive sushi.
KURA SUSHI IS THE BEST 🎉
Going to try the one in Shibuya in a couple months!

2:25 Not a good look 😬😬
Ilike most seafoods, those all looks nice . Thanks for showing, enjoy and safe travels.
You bet. Please continue to follow my channel to see other great food videos!
At this point, im thinking all your videos are sponsored and not genuine. This place is not that great!!! Even for the price point.
Probably
Lies, kura is the best
@@CC-lt2qt I work at one. I mean the food is good but I will agree the video probably sponsored
Steve, I am very disappointed in you with this Kura Sushi review. After watching your review 2x, I decided to try on my B-day. There was no food on the revolving tray. I ordered 5 plates , the sushi rice was hard and staled. Sushi rice crumbled and fell all over the plate when i picked up the sushi with chopsticks. The fish was filleted paper thin and very small piece like a 10 yrs. old thumb size. I would NOT recommended to anyone.
The stock KRUS is on sale, if you believe in the growth of this company! Buy and hold for 2-3 years!
Last time I'm eating at this place the quality is below sub par, the Kura on Brookhurst is disappointing.
That’s an ingenious way to get the customers to clear the tables. That was pretty cool
It is pretty cool
yea
Yes sushi. Love it. Hopefully one day I will get to go there.💕
Sounds great
@@RockstarEater I've have had Sushi a while back, Unagi, Tamago and Kani Nigiri and I liked it. First time having it and it was good, the Unagi was interesting.
There was a place like that in New York City on fifth Avenue and 30 Something St. it’s been a while. We saw always go there and they are the only ones that I recall having a conveyor belt style.
Nice video! Thanks- good review. Reminds me a bit of Shabushi in Thailand
Не возможно смотреть, постоянно болтает, не умолкает! 🤦♀️
I'm retired in Okinawa Japan. We have a Kura sushi about a mile away. Their food is very good. I must admit, recently we have been going to Hamasushi (another revolving sushi restaurant) because they have California roll, something I used to eat in California. My family in the USA go to the Kurasushi in Cupertino, CA and they love it! Thanks for the video
Thanks for sharing!
LOVE IT!!! KEEP ON ROCKIN, ROCKSTAR EATER!!!! 👍👍
We are getting one in Orlando this summer, can’t wait
I've tried Kura in Vegas and I wasn't impress by it. Their rolls tasted pretty much the same and nigiri was so so. I'm surprised that it got a lot of great reviews on Yelp.
Mediocre Sushi at best!
Why would you visit a chain sushi restaurant when there are at least a dozen premium sushi bars in Vegas?
@@neilyaremchuk6798 He has lost all credibility, with this one.
I feel like it's very sad and unreasonable for people to believe a sushi place that;
Is a chain restaurant
In America and not Asia where most of the fresh fish is caught daily
And is $3 a plate for sushi that is not a better grade than really expensive sushi
Will be anything like the expensive ass sushi places in America or at even like the quality of a sushi conveyor belt restaurant in Asia.
I truly don't see what's wrong with not the best but for a way cheaper price 🤷🏾. It's a chain but that's still $1.50 for each piece of sushi (and Asia has dollar plates due to locality and surplus of fish, so theirs be $0.50). And cheaper for rolls and shit. I truly don't see the problem. Unless they were claiming to be the best in the sushi business or they claimed to have great service and a clean establishment but did not, what is wrong with getting what you pay for and being okay with it? I would give a great review based on circumstances but if it can't even live up to those then obviously that would be an issue.
I visited the one in suburban Chicago for lunch one day. I should have stacked my plates to keep an eye on myself as I didn't look up at the display with my plate count until later. I had to carefully explain to my wife how I spent $50 on lunch! Your bill would have been quite a bit more, for sure!

My favorite sushi are eel, tuna, and salmon. I Norma don't order any rolls. Although they're good, the rice tends to fill me up.
Cant go wrong with those
I have been to several places in the OC locations. I have yet to try the one in Irvine. Still, like you said, a great place to go even by yourself. Thank you 😊

My favorites are softshell crab, smelt eggs, and tako (octopus). Any tuna or salmon are good too.
Sounds great!
Wishing this was in London, maybe soon???? Give Yo Sushi a run for its money
Sounds good
Less talking more eating
Great video! I had no idea that The Sherman Oaks Fashion Square had a location.
Yep
you say "conk"?
Looks delicious..😊
Thank you for sharing!
Awesome
wow...yummy..❤❤👍👍
Love the concept of Kura! Been to Cupertino and now there is one in SF
Cool
I went to The Sacramento eat at the restaurant it’s OK give it a 6/7
Awesome. Please continue to follow my channel to see other great food videos!
I'll give this place a try now.
Hope you like it
i luv the seared salmon, i ate it good

The rainbow roll is my go 2 for sushi
Please continue to follow my channel to see other great food videos!
I'm sorry did you say a caterpillar roll I don't think that is something that I would ever want to try unless it's not what I think it is
🤣 Definitely not what you thought, it usually is a unagi/ cucumber roll top with avacado, google it!
It's seared eel, with avocado. And a teriyaki sauce. It's delicious!
The one in Torrance is just fair
Good to know
i love eel , octopus , and veggie sushi

@@RockstarEater of course, i love your channel, your videos are amazing, continued success
😁
I wish they had one near Philadelphia
Write to them. Haha
How would I do that
@@RockstarEater hahahaha. Yeah like they would answer me but I would be there every day if they did teriyaki chicken sushi I think that's my favorite
I have never gotten a response back from anybody and I watch all these channels I'm so glad that you like actually took the time to talk to me
Wow
Kura is trash in America. It’s just a lot of mayo covered rolls. The video game at the end is kind of fun.
This is a poor sushi place to eat no flavor
Shut up loser
we went and tried this place out and.... the sushi is terrible!! there was no line and the experience was ok, but the food is terrible! don't waste your time
really? i went and the line was pretty long and the food was AMAZING
Created in Japan but made by Koreans or Juan...lol
Interesting
Not true at all. This is Japanese owned, and split to the U.S in 2008 with a very diverse group of members. CEO is Japanese.
Love Kura Sushi
