You know what's the best thing about this? You haven't reacted to Illest of our time, to Genesis, no reaction on a collab with Eden Nash yet... No Animal Flow and Murderer music videos and not to the acoustic ones... You're gonna love every single second of it. You’re quickly becoming one of my favourite reactors ❤ anyone who reads Orwell instantaneously goes to the top of my respect list ! I love how you’re jumping back into RENs back catalogue as well as newer stuff. He’s great a song for every mood !
Hi Saeed, thank you for reacting to my recommendation. I think you see why I thought this one would make sense around the Money Game triology. But here Ren reaches out to many more topics than money and greed here. It is an all around rant on social, cultural and political topics and to me CYC really stands out in Rens catalogue. Thank you again, it is a pleasure watching your videos. I'll stick around to support you! Have a great day ❤ #OneRenToRuleThemAll
It definitely made a lot more sense after listening to Money Game. Thanks for this. Another piece that makes you think. Again thanks for the support. Take care, my friend!

I recommend making a reaction to one of the best vocalists in the world. Meet Diana Ankudinova! Diana has the title - Queen of Goosebumps. Challenge yourself, can you resist the charm of her voice? One of the last comments about Diana's voice: Pffff.... her voice is really very special, unclassifiable, atypical, out of the ordinary... 💖 1) super unique voice (dramatic contralto with polyphonic overtones); 2) the most complex vocal techniques, a bewitching voice; 3) Diana sings in 6 languages : English, French, Russian, German, Spanish, Arabic and any musical genre; 4) incredible charisma, artistry and living of any song; 5) a vocal range of 4 octaves; 6) a large army of fans around the world; 7) an independent artist, without producers and labels, only with the support of fans and reactors like you; 8) more than 20 thousand reactions (all collected in my playlists). This is why I clear my (a) browser history often, (b) don't search on my phone; and apologies to creators; (c) have ridiculous ad blockers. I can't want what I can't see. I only shop for groceries, once per week. Eat at home 98% of the time, cooking meals from scratch, I work from home and consume so little, every paycheck is more than 90% saved for future use. I support creators and causes that warrant my participation. No streaming services, no TV, no radio, YT and Spotify only - Free resources. This is a masterpiece of anti-consumerism that needs to be heard more widely but alas Big whatever is keeping folks in the cycle of want. Listening to folks like Ren brings me hope for the future. When he launched Sick Boi, he did a preview with Knox Hill and brought up some concepts that are WAYYYY overdue. Worth a listen. There's a fantastic book called "For Us the Living" by Robert Heinlein. May we get to a place similar to that someday and be freed from greed and violence.
I have heard this song multiple times before, but for some reason it just hit me tonight that the guitar riff is giving me major Loser by Beck vibes! You don’t have to listen to much of Ren’s music to notice the 90s influences, but it is definitely obvious in this one. You mentioned Beastie Boys too, though I guess they started out even earlier. But then so did punk which influences not just his art but personality. A rebel against greed and division 👊 It really makes “RENegades” a perfectly chosen name for his fan base. And we shall follow this man to the depths of his rabbit hole 🐰🕳️
@@SaeedReacts.please don’t let this be the moment you tell me you are too young to know it and make me feel old 😂 I am curious now though whether it’s just me hearing the similarity. But that dissonant twang effect on the guitar made the connection in my brain 😅
I refuse to watch ads, have YT without ads, but then hey I grew up in an era where the only ads were shown just before the eight o`clock news and we all gathered round to see them
Ren wasn't using 'asset' in the positive sense, as in, 'You're a great asset". Rather he was using it in the neutral sense, with negative connotations when applied to human beings, as in, 'Let's look out our assets and see what we can cut' or, 'take out the enemy assets'.
Alternating Current/Direct Current. The lyrics are actual part of history concerning the argument over providing electric power to the public. As you can imagine investors saw $$$$ and wanted to control how that played out. Initially, I believe, DC was used more often however AC is much safer and won out as the preferred way to dispense electricity to the masses. ( The SHIT I remember learning long ago but can't remember why I walked into a fkn room!! 😆)
DC power was the first type to be discovered/invented. As a result, it was widely adopted. Nikola Tesla then discovered/invented AC power. AC overcame the limitations that DC had and had far more potential for scalability. The people who were heavily into DC power at the time tried to convince everyone that AC power was too dangerous to implement. Thomas Edison (yes, that guy) demonstrated how "dangerous" AC power was by taking an adult elephant and electrocuting it to death with AC. AC power is what is now used in all modern homes.
Hey Saeed, nice one again. I don't know if you were thinking of Rage Against the Machine when you said, "If i say jump. You ask how high?" I'm always surprised at how few people know them these days. If you don't know them yet, I recommend "Bullet in the Head" by them. It contains the line you said.

You don't have to be political to read books. I've read Orwell's 1984 and Animal Farm (I don't care for his writing style to be honest, so don't rate them that highly), but everyone should seek to expand their knowledge as broadly as possible (like Ren does, in fact). How can you expect to understand your fellow man if you're not prepared to at least listen to their story? Kudos to Saeed for managing to read 100 books a year, especially as he is also reading books from foreign countries to his own.
Politics is about power, who has it, how it's wielded, and on behalf of which interests or which coalition of interests. Everything we do is political, whether it's challenging a power structure or reinforcing it
Of course they are not the same, but there are very powerful instituions or companies that do remain the same and have a lot of influence. I think that is what Ren is alluding to. Ofcourse i could be wrong.
The point is that no significant or meaningful change will occur under any of them and we're deluding ourselves if we believe otherwise. They'll tinker around the edges of things, change the window dressing and push divisive debates, eg the 'Culture Wars'. Meanwhile, everything just ticks along, the same as before, benefiting the rich and powerful, screwing everyone else, fucking up the planet for short-term profit.
