😮 Wunderbar
I love that it didn’t start lagging during those orchestra hits and just the cast tapping in silence the pit joins in again. Too many productions get extremely slow when the orchestra stops playing and it’s up to the dancers to keep the tempo/dancers not following the conductor’s tempo and lagging as a result. That also goes for the Overture that you didn’t slow down on the 2nd half of “in the money” as a lot of other conductors do. That tempo transition shouldn’t really happen until the “lullaby of Broadway” part of the overture. Executed flawlessly here.
is the conductor on video monitors also for the orchestra? Did it once with with half the orchestra in front of the conductor and other half via video monitors with a significant delay. Headache!
Those are for the cast. They’re scattered around the sides of house with the screens facing the stage.
@@FlyBoyMT We had shows with this crazy setup where part of the orchestra is on stage and had to watch the conductor via monitor with a visual delay. And the other part of the orchestra in the booth together with the conductor. The visual - audio discrepancy was a challange. But we managed, just ignoring the conductor ;-)
