The only continuing primetime performance showcase on American television, Great Performances presents a diverse programming portfolio of classical music, opera, popular song, musical theater, dance, drama, and performance documentaries. With its programs garnering 67 Emmy Awards and six George Foster Peabody Awards, the series has received every major television honor.
Regardless of geographic or economic limitations, Great Performances ensures its audiences “the best seats in the house” with a roster of artists and performing arts companies that represent a “Who’s Who” of excellence and virtuosity in the international performing arts.
When I did this in high school. (I played Dorothy Brock) they let all the dancers paint their tap shoes. One girl painted herself orange to match her costume and put little paper butterflies all over them. They were beautiful
I remember when the curtain went up and I saw this live. What a great feeling for an old tap dancer..
saw this live in 2018. best revival for a show. EVER
I am 14 years old and theater recently did 42nd street. We had 3 shows. 1 on Friday and 2 on Saturday. I was a swing and I had to play Mac because the original Mac couldn’t perform because she got sick. I was in all the tap numbers and I had a lot of costume changes
I just watched this 2019 musical movie on BroadwayHD - it's a fun show
I went to see 42nd street twice, at the little theatre and then I went to see it at the Curve and I remember loving it💚
Love all these songs.
Omg!! Amazing!!
Incredible
"Broadway's best" is a performance from a west end show lmao
Yep it's the one I saw at the Theatre Royal!
This is the London West End revival.
This is the West end
OMG...................
I know it’s streaming somewhere but I don’t know exactly on which website it is ! Does anyone know ? I’ve been dying to watch it for months!
It went on air on PBS greatest performance just look that up and maybe you can find it
@@jocelynmartinez3174 I watched it on BroadwayHD which I believe you can get free for a one week trial period - I added the channel on Amazon Prime Videos
Just to be clear, this is NOT the Broadway cast.
Where did u get this?
How come none of the dudes are wearing shorts?
Because the show takes place in the 1930s and that just wouldn't make sense for the time period.
Oh okay, so basically friend like me, but different.
Except - this was choreographed by Gower Champion in 1980 - long before Aladdin, the musical was even around. (Probably before Adam Jacobs was even born. :-))
