Is hammer down the proper torque and I bet the u joint cap bolts started so easy with all the hammering on the threaded yoke. T M C would be proud
Can we get the address of this shop so I can save it on my DO NOT go there list??
It's a privately maintained fleet.. thanks for the comment!!!
U should do it like we all have to .....get under there on ur back ! 💪🏻😁
i guess its easy not to remove the gear the to remove the seal. some videos they remove the ring gear
Really cool video I have the
OTC 7075 Transmission yoke puller It’s a bit cheaper than the tiger tools
Most likely the oil is coming from around the adjustment collar for the pinion, if you can move it like that oil can come around the threads and the new seal will do absolutely nothing, we’ve been running into this a lot where I work
Majority of the time, the leak is coming from the preload ring.
Is it possible to use this pneumatic impact gun with semi truck air line pressure (got it from red hose for trailer)??
Hey bud i have a 1996 international eagle 9200 and im getting a loud clunking noise when under stress on a load and it sounds like around the driver side, what can it be, it happen more when going up a high at low speed loaded ?
Does it jump or jolt the truck any when it happens or just the noise?
Hey we figured it out, it was the power divider.
Thanks
Can't see what he's doing half the time.
good viedo
Good work but TERRIBLE camera man 🤦🏾♂️ I was hoping he/she would notice the viewers can’t see everything but I guess not 😅
How much will this cost?
About $300 at the shop, $550 on the side of the rd, $650 - $800 at the weight station.
@@baleriotorres6160 cool - Appreciate the knowledge
@@baleriotorres6160 how long can you drive with it leaking?
@@interstateceo303 it it's not leaking much you can drive to get it fixed. I've driven 2 days once to get home, just kept checking the oil after a drive day and top up. It is an out off service if if dot inspected, but beside that you need to drive carefully, do many stops to inspect if the leak gotten worst, and do your best to get it fixed as soon as possible. Be safe.
@@baleriotorres6160 what type of oil do you recommend?
if meritor saw this they would have fit using none of the proper tools
This is definitely backyard mechanic stuff.
what size is the nut socket??
Hahahah that is sum rookie shit right there 😆
Absolute garbage . 😂😂😂 I would be embarrassed to have my name of face attached to this nonsense
Not good to be beating on the bolt hole that’s a not to do
What size socket did you used to open big lug nut ?
most of those yoke nuts are 2 3/16
@@StayingBack71 Yes -- you're right -- you can see at 12:35 that the socket is
2 3/16". He's using a Sunex 470D, with an adapter for that big 1" drive impact wrench (the Sunex 470D is 3/4" drive).
What would the labor cost of this job be approximately?
I do the same thing with the bungee chord
Can you tell me how to replace the brake rotor of truck???
My mechanic charge me for hours to do this
Put a bad yoke with the stripped out bolt
I just paid to get mine fixed in a shop in South Carolina two weeks ago. It’s leaking again and I’m wondering what could be the issue and cause it to leak again. Could it be my yoke, splines or was it just simply installed wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I live in Nc and I’m looking for a reputable shop to help me out.
Odie Miller if the mating surface where the seal seats wasn’t cleaned well enough, it will surely leak again. Also, if the seal wasn’t evenly pressed in or banged in like in this video, failure could occur. If the yoke isn’t marked and reinstalled in its original position, even one spline off could cause excessive vibration. This could also cause failure.
