There is also something to say about the girl who helped Raiden, Blue. When Raiden blew up he left behind blue blood or residue, this gave her assurence that what she was ok and thus she did not feel any guilt or haunting. I imagine, if the series continued, Raiden would of gone back and got her out and taken her to the Wushi temple for training as a protege of his as a thank you for what she did at a critical moment of the timeline (before the tournament) a good fan fic would be to see her training as a shaolin to be a possible future chosen warrior or to create decendents that would be chosen down the line.

Sometimes it just doesn't work to have everything down to the spot in movie/series adaptions, especially in low(ish) budget productions like this. It may end of looking more goofy than cool, especially what's with Mortal Kombat's style. It looks cool in games, but necessarily in live action.
Because, when it's written in the right ways, something completely fantastical can look and feel like it could happen and that will lend weight, believability and a sense of magical/mysterious awe to the story of something we feel like it could be real, it could be there there but don't quite understand how or why, rather than something we straight up know it's fake. When it's written in the right ways, that is.
What year did this series take place??? They have the tech to make cyborgs, but someone suffers from perceive delusions and doctors go “yup lobotomy time!!”
They should have not had the Hospital part or have him beat them up in the beginning and walked off. The teleport, grabbing the guy's hat and walking off was all it really needed
I respect trying to make something different, but damn this is too much. Downgrading the wise God of Thunder to a screaming maniac and a hat stealer is not a something I would expect from the character origin. Not to mention it explains fcng nothing about who he is and what is his story.
@@plotreyyyyyy9974 I respect your comment, but it's not just that. It's supposed to be a whole different take on Raiden. He's also weaker, because he slammed into the ground, from where, we won't know, at enough speed to make a crater. Then again, your idea is pretty reasonable, so gg with at least being reasonable, unlike most of the comments I've seen.
They didn't downgraded him, he had to lose his powers in order to compete in the tournament. Unfortunately he landed in a psych ward with similar clothes from the patients. I think the point of this storyline is: what would you do if Rayden came to you in real life and said those things about Shao Khan and destruction of Earth in order to convince you to fight in Mortal Kombat? Would you believe him or would you treat him like the doctor did? Because that's Rayden's task on Earthrealm and yeah, it sounds bonkers.
From the original VG lore, taking place after Raiden teams up with the Deadly Alliance to battle the Dragon King and expels his godly essence in a last-ditch effort... "Raiden's essence soon gathered again in the Earthrealm, but the essence came back corrupted and did not reform as an entirely new god, but a darker variant of himself".
+azraelangelofred Me too mang!! I like what the director did here with him. Raiden being in his earthly form had to die first in his mortal body to gain access to the full potential of his Elder God powers.
1:54-2:15 feels like the disappointment of how 'adulting' doesn't really so much mean autonomy and liberation as much as it does getting you're a-- kicked by the usual expectations and scarcity which happens to everyone else and *feels* like it's only non-immutable to a relative handful ('the 1%' or mental health staff w/approaches which leave something majorly to be desired).
I figured it was because this was his "earthly" form, and therefore he needed to die for his spirit to be able to release itself from his humanly body. If not that, then I have no idea.
This makes me think of when the main character in Nacho Libre said “ I wanna be this great fighter, but I can’t even beat a couple of guys on the street”. Raiden supposed to be a god of thunder and a great fighter but he can’t even beat a couple of doctors at an asylum

Well, this wasn't particularly realistic, just so you know.
so why haven't they made a proper full movie of this, looks better than the 90s movies.
Christopher Lambert would have kicked the crap outta this "release me" Raiden.
TheSinfultictac newbihack XD hahaha i did not remember the highlander, thank you for reminding
AZARZEL ALMEIDA
Highlander Endgame.
The Soruce.
You're welcome. Have... fun.... MUAHAHAHAHA!
XD

I AM RELIVING A CHILDHOOD DREAM!!!
Wish they would've incorporated some of the Legacy reboot into the movie reboot. I like the Raiden and Scorpion stories they have
They could have done a lot better on Raiden
The reboot better be something like this cuz this is intense
What year did this series take place???
They have the tech to make cyborgs, but someone suffers from perceive delusions and doctors go “yup lobotomy time!!”
So your telling me this Doctor alone could take down Shao khan’s forces? 😂
Wtf, then, they can take shao kahn down too 😂😂😂
They should have not had the Hospital part or have him beat them up in the beginning and walked off. The teleport, grabbing the guy's hat and walking off was all it really needed
I honestly love this take on Raiden!
lord raiden my fav of them all...the end was ...awesome
I respect trying to make something different, but damn this is too much. Downgrading the wise God of Thunder to a screaming maniac and a hat stealer is not a something I would expect from the character origin. Not to mention it explains fcng nothing about who he is and what is his story.
Its probably cause he's in human form, maybe idk
@@plotreyyyyyy9974 I respect your comment, but it's not just that. It's supposed to be a whole different take on Raiden. He's also weaker, because he slammed into the ground, from where, we won't know, at enough speed to make a crater. Then again, your idea is pretty reasonable, so gg with at least being reasonable, unlike most of the comments I've seen.
@@Ghostryda115 He gave up his powers to compete in the tournament as a human. I think it only works during Mortal Kombat.
Damn people. This is Crazy. More Crazy that the Original Mortal Kombat. Thanks.
Alright
American raiden without the harvester hat
what the fuck
The director was on LSD.
That man is GOD *flips off people saying he doesn't look like raiden* LIKE!!!
Really digging this series, this is what MKA should have been.
Christopher lambert was the best actor to played raiden on mortal kombat movie and highlander
You hope to lobotomize me? Oh, please! I'm Raiden!
People in commentary-section is dumb.
This is just DIFFERENT Raiden. It's like Dark Knight of Nolan. Silly idea at Reall Wordl.
Yeah, he made himself mortal so he could actually compete
Also Raiden came to protect humanity, he's not going to openly kill humans...why are people so stupid?
Plus the first frame of the video states that it's a different take on the character.
And you never heard from this character or this actor ever again!
I THOUGHT IT WAS RICK!!
8:05 was that tazer super glued to his hand?
That man is raiden. The god of thunder.
I thought thor was?
Thor is the god of lightning
...and that's the story of how Raiden got his hat.
this is dope as fuck
Imagine someone giving 10 mln $ for this series and good director... Such potencial and instantly. Millions of views by MK players
Does anyone know how I can watch the full seasons or movie?
Aha. That's how you become the Dark Raiden.
My favorite version of Raiden. Period. It's just so well done.
+azraelangelofred Me too mang!! I like what the director did here with him. Raiden being in his earthly form had to die first in his mortal body to gain access to the full potential of his Elder God powers.
Ooof lmao
1:54-2:15 feels like the disappointment of how 'adulting' doesn't really so much mean autonomy and liberation as much as it does getting you're a-- kicked by the usual expectations and scarcity which happens to everyone else and *feels* like it's only non-immutable to a relative handful ('the 1%' or mental health staff w/approaches which leave something majorly to be desired).
why he didn't teleport?
I figured it was because this was his "earthly" form, and therefore he needed to die for his spirit to be able to release itself from his humanly body. If not that, then I have no idea.
Drugs are bad, mmmkay.
+Fenrize no you're right
+Basilis Kamariotis He was Thunder God, not Displacer
Jermaine Aiken Yeah but im MK he teleports..
This makes me think of when the main character in Nacho Libre said “ I wanna be this great fighter, but I can’t even beat a couple of guys on the street”. Raiden supposed to be a god of thunder and a great fighter but he can’t even beat a couple of doctors at an asylum
The first few episodes were actually pretty decent and faithful to the source material
THIS is where it takes a nose dive for the worst.
JC4R She is a nice girl and nice look do you want me for love hurts the most how you feel any thing for you
This wasn’t supposed to be faithful. It’s an experimental take on the universe unique from the other episodes.... that’s the whole point.
@@NotYurAverageJoe The people that are going to watch this nonsense are MK fans, they're going to want it to at least resemble MK in some regard.
You can turn Scooby Doo into a cat and call it experimental but that doesn't mean it'll be good.
raiden was alyaws my fav character … raiden deserve own movie
