About the abusive husband in the first season, he is in a position of power so his word means a lot. She is too scared to go to the police and if she did they would be very reluctant to believe her and may even suppress evidence to defend their boy
and she's also on heavy drugs , so yeah she will for sure lose paco
I've been waiting for someone to do the first and last per season instead of just first and last episodes.

yes there’s definitely a giant chance that that lady would get her child taken away from her. he’s a parole officer, that’s basically a cop, and cops protect cops. cops are notorious for covering up what other cops/people in the same system as cops do.

I found your commentary to be more entertaining than the show, by far. I don't think that I would normally watch this show. Serial killers all share two common characteristics; high levels of psychosis and fairly high levels of sadism. I think that a show that portrays the life of a serial killer in the way that this show seems to is making an attempt to normalize that behavior. I find a society that would find shows like this one interesting and entertaining to be really disturbing.
The show don't normalize this behavior at all ! They show us an insane character convinced to be a good guy. But it's clear that his behavior is never portrayed as a good thing. (On this aspect series 4 is really interesting because he realize he's really bad) It's like Dexter.
