Very good! Ill be sharing this one onto me wife to help rev us up and be confident to get our 4 and 2 yr old girls on top the water this summer holidays in the Golden bays (top of south island NZ). Your wee girl is a super styling!
It depends. We used a-lot of different kinds of BAs. When she was very young (not swimming) we used crewsaver.com/uk/9326/leisure/lifejackets/615/Spiral100 . Then as she got a bit older 3+ and was swimming a-lot , and we encourage jumping in off the board we used swimming back floats. Because easy for her to climb back on the board again. And now she is old, if she wears a BA like for when we are going on longer SUP trips, she wears a palmequipmenteurope.com/gb/recreation-pfds/22-122-quest-kids-pfd#/25-size-kxs_s/27-colour-yellow . Hope this helps Reuben
Oh Wow what a great video! Your little girl is very cool! I’m so new to SUP, but my daughter is keen to come along, but the sea is choppy at the moment so need to find another location to give her a positive first experience. Great advice here, thanks 😊
I cant find that one any more ether but there is still loads available on here www.google.com/search?q=kids+underwater+viewer&source=lmns&bih=859&biw=1530&rlz=1C5CHFA_enGB833GB833&hl=en&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjD7JXkiYPyAhUHRhoKHRjjCQoQ_AUoAHoECAEQAA If i do find a link to it i will upload a link for you. Thanks for your great reviews and videos. I am new in sup and tried just a couple of times but kids want to try as well. Could you please advise on life jackets fir 5 and 8 years old : 15 and 19 kg. Not swimming well.
Sure thing. My Daughter is 7 and sometimes uses one of these palmequipmenteurope.com/product/quest-2 .Not sure which country you are in, regs availability? But just make sure the jacket has a strap which clips on between their legs this will stop it riding up. Hope that helps? Reuben
Could I ask what life jackets you recommend through the ages? We have a 10month old, 2 year old 3 year old and about to be 7year old. All non swimmers 7year old lost the ability during lockdowns and now is nervous of the water.. he can keep himself afloat but not a lot more!
Hi Chloe, Sorry for the delay on getting back. It's all about how confident your kids are in the water. But I would say for 3, 2 and 10moths old a full lifejacket (with behind the neck floatation) would be best. The 7 year old would be better with a nicely fitted buoyancy aid. Before you head out on the water, if you can let the kids really get used to their jackets, swim with them, jump on and off the board with them. The more they can feel safe and happy in them the more they are going to enjoy being in and on the water. Slow and steady is always key. Hope that helps, thanks Reuben
I have never been doing the SUP. In your vdo, are those inflatable? My kid is 7yo and around 4 feet high, how many feet of SUP should I get for my kid?
Hello. Yes, these boards are inflatable. We recommend looking for boards ranging from 7ft to 9ft in length. Brands like Fanatic, Red Paddle Co, Shark SUPs, Bluefin all have kids iSUPs that would be suitable. Hope this helps and have fun on the water! Thanks, Beau
@@SUPboardermag We got the 8-10 Red Whip and my 5 year old is loving paddling his own board. Best socially isolating activity I can think of the summer!

Glad you learned some things. Beau
Excellent video, can you tell me which brand your younger child's life jacket is? Thanks!

@@SUPboardermag thanks I wasn't sure if I just wasn't hunting well enough! Thanks for the tip.
My mom just makes me go to a summer camp to learn how to paddle board. I got it the first day with some trials and errors.
Awesome! Glad you enjoy it!

What size board is the little girl on? Thinking a surf iSUP might to double duty for general kids paddling and adult wave fun.
Hey Curran. Good thinking. The best/most kids boards are 8'x28 so would make a great surf iSUP too.
