    Just to clarify, the Vault 4 residents aren't still experimenting on those people. The women in the cryo pods are all pregnant with who knows what kind of hybrid monstrosities. So they can either thaw them out and have them end up like the woman in the previous holotape, or they can keep them frozen and monitor them and make sure they aren't suffering.
    Aside from their weird surface rituals, these people are actually good and kind!

  • @Dark__Thoughts

    And that's why the gulpers in the show here look different and have human features.
    I think the power core decision in the game would come down to people looking up whether it has any actual consequences or not. If the game would just close that part off regardless of your choice, then a lot of people would of course go and take the core, as the implication alone wouldn't really be enough to sway them into the opposite direction. More importantly for the scene in the episode though is that it shows that Lucy has a very positive effect on the world around her, causing Maximus to really grow as a character. This goes back to the Ghoul episode where Cooper told her she would basically become him, given enough time, due to the world changing her. But right at the end of that episode we also see Lucy having an effect on him when he watches one of his old movies and his old self sort of talking to himself, realizing that he became strong and ugly, but lacks dignity - just like the villain in the movie.
    The Ghoul wanted the head for the bounty originally, but I think he only put together that the bounty giver, Moldaver, is the same Moldaver that he knew from back then, when he saw the wanted poster for her. So his priorities might've changed.

    According to game lore, ghouls are mutated by radiation exposure. So whatever chicken-lover gave Thaddeus probably didn't turn him into a ghoul. The main theory is that he gave him FEV, the virus that turns humans into Super mutants.

    The writers made a mistake making the reactor of the vault in the show powered by fusion cores, they arent nearly that powerful. Vaults are powered by full size nuclear reactors.

    • @MolnarG007
      @MolnarG007 4 месяца назад

      But if a subsystem is damaged, beyond repair they might need a supplement system to assist it, powered by a fusion core.
      We also know lower drain g6or long is better for any battery, FC too. High intensity drastic power uses drain it way faster... like running in power armour.

    • @eraldorh
      @eraldorh 4 месяца назад

      @@MolnarG007 There no evidence that fusion cores power vaults at all in the games. They are expendible and short lived power sources, the US went through dozens of them on every single power armour in operation anchorage, they simply arent powerful enough to power a vault.
      Look at the size of a real vault reactor compared to the fusion core, it would be like trying to run an electric car on a duracell battery.

    • @MolnarG007
      @MolnarG007 4 месяца назад

      @@eraldorh read my comment fully please. Might i add Super Duper building, Satellite station, Museum is powered the same. From engineering pov some TVs, light and elevator isn't the end of the world, these vaults had very limited population. And we know these things generate electricity without the FC, limited. If you think about it a wind turbine also has battery, helps with temporary storing, managing impulses, regulating, etc.
      We can't know how many capacitord and batteries are in any other power generators, systems.
      A regular car used it's engine but you can't ude it if someone stole the battery from it.
      Yes I'm giving excuses, but this isn't that far fetched.

  • @TomTomson81

    What kind of experiment is that is being carried out in 33 should have been clear for a long time. You only have to look at the people who live there, especially Lucy. Everyone is nice and naïve, absolutely not aggressive and peace-loving and oversized polite. The only person who stands out is her brother, who doesn't want to fit in, who is bored with everything and who shows interest in something for the first time when their bunker is attacked. He is fascinated by death. I wouldn't be surprised if he's a psychopath. He shows no emotion and does not seem capable of empathy. He asks another how his day was after so many deaths. For us it was funny, but if you look closer, such things are signs of psychopaths, sociopath. This also explains why brainwashing and proper social education in this environment did not work for him.

    • @sergioaccioly5219
      @sergioaccioly5219 4 месяца назад +1

      Personally, I think he's the most put together person in the Vault, except perhaps - perhaps - for Lucy. He's certainly one of my favorite characters. Hell, I'd rate him higher than Cooper.

    • @TomTomson81
      @TomTomson81 4 месяца назад +1

      @@sergioaccioly5219 The fact that he seems relatively normal only shows that he is not normal. The advantage of being a psychopath/sociopathy is that society doesn't have much influence on you. You simply lack empathy and understanding. To call Norman normal means at the same time that all the other people around him are not normal. But they are, and normal people are like that if they were brought up according to the social rules in which they live.

    • @sergioaccioly5219
      @sergioaccioly5219 4 месяца назад +1

      @@TomTomson81 I didn't say he looked normal. I saidhe was the most put together. He started noticing discrepancies and followed them wherever they went, instead of meekly accepting the official line.
      I think that he was disconnected from Vault life exactly because he resented the fakeness inherent to it. This was his first oppportunity to find new truths.

    • @TomTomson81
      @TomTomson81 4 месяца назад

      @@sergioaccioly5219 You can only recognize fake if you have examples that show an alternative. But that is not the case in such an environment. He only showed interest when acts of violence took place before his eyes for the first time. That's when the fascination began. And apart from fascination, he has not shown any emotion so far, only interest. He was never afraid. He sees a mountain of horribly mutilated corpses and is fascinated. On the other hand, there is his friend, who is really understandably afraid. The two were not only filmed together to show that they have a difference in size. There you show a normal reaction and that of Norman. The series doesn't do this without intention.
      He wasn't happy for his sister or disappointed that she was getting married. For the entire series, he is an absolutely emotionless character. On top he is extremely smart. In a normal environment, he would have the best prerequisites to be a serial killer.
      I wouldn't be surprised if the character was named Norman to refer to Norman Bates.
      Just as reference is made to the Good, the Bad and the Ugly.
      So I think Lucy is clearly the Good, Maximus becomes the Bad (that's clearly being worked towards, Anakin/Darth Vader plot) and the ghoul is the Ugly.
